RE: CPAP masks

We just faxed our perscription to Direct Home Medical and they keep it on file. I was amazed at the prices and the fast service.

RE: CPAP masks

My husband has used a CPAP for over ten years, he uses the BREEZE SLEEPGEAR CPAP MASK with NASAL PILLOWS by Puritan Bennett. He washes the nasal pillows daily and finds that they work better.
We are still paying for the equipment ourselves and have found that Direct Home Medical has the best prices and really good customer service. I checked all the local distributers and they were over 2 times the price of Direct Home medical.
Good Luck

RE: Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (San Jose, CA)

I live in San Jose, and have never been there. I called(408-494-3100)
and spoke to them. They have full and partial hook-ups and all sites are $26. I asked if there were many fulltimers and she said no that no one lives there full time.
We we get home I will check it out and let you know.

RE: Want to brew coffee while on the road

We use the Melitta coffee pot also. We use the 10 cup, I like the process since I can use the same teakettle for my Tea.

RE: Calgary Stampede

We went to the Stampede this summer and had a great time, we went to an RV park in Cochrane about 20 miles from Calgary Bow Rivers Edge RV Park. We stayed 8 nights and paid about $260+ canadian for the stay. The town of Cochrane was a great place to stay, a very friendly town. We were there for Canada Day and went to a Pancake Breakfast, An art festival and an evening concert.($10) The singer Arron Prichett was
one of the headliners at the Stampede.
The RV park was great, very helpful people and large clean spaces.
We would drive about 10 miles to the C-train(light rail) and park and the train would take us right to the Stampede grounds. It cost us about $10 to park and ride. The parking by the Stampede grounds is very expensive and hard to find.
We traveled through Washington to Lake Louise and then onto Calgary, the roads were fine and we have a gas RV (35 ft) and tow a CRV. Lake Louise hard sided campground was great, big sites with only Electricity. There is a 5 station dump site very near. Lake Louise and Lake Moraine were fantastic.
We had no problems going on our own.
PM us if you have any questions.

RE: Mosquitos suck

The mosquito sprays with Picaridin work well, they are fragrance free and are not sticky. The mosquitoes always come after me, if I am diligent about applying it I do not get bitten.

RE: Overnite Stopping in California

We also stayed at Bakersfield RV Resort, although it is on highway 99 you can go up 99 from the south and then cut over to highway 5 without much loss of miles. There is also a Costco with gas very near that opens early. If you are going soon you will need hook-ups for the air conditioner.

We will be driving the RV from Glacier National Park to Boise, what do you think is the best route. We are in the last week of a long trip and prefer the freeways at this time.

Bow Rivers Edge Campground-Calgary area

We have been in Bow Rivers Edge RV park in Cochrane about 20 miles northwest of Calgary for over a week.
This is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. It is clean and attractive. The sites are very large and most of them are pull-thrus.
The staff is very helpful and nice. The C-train(light rail) is about a 15 minute drive from the park, so you can park ($3) and ride into Calgary($2.50).
We would definitly stay here again if we come up this way.

RE: Garlic festival, Gilroy,CA

You might try Betabel or Coyote Valley Resort. Both should be OK for big rigs, you can call and check. They might be full already. Betabel is south of Gilroy and Coyote Valley north.

RE: New Verizon Phone, No More Mobile Office

We also tether our Verizon cell phone to the Laptop, we have been doing if for a couple of years. We have used three different phones. Right now we use my husbands Blackberry Storm. You don't have to buy the mobile office kit, because the cord comes with the Blackberry. (Of course the Blackberry is more expensive.) Since we are already paying for the Blackberry service we only have to pay half as much for the tethering.
It is really fast in most areas.
I keep a log about when I call and have it stopped and started, since one time I called and they forgot to turn it off. We have used it many times and this only happened once and I called and was able to pinpoint the date I called and they took care of it
IF you have any other questions you should go to
Geeks on Tour
as they have alot of info about internet on the road.
Good Luck
