RE: Roads in BC

We were planning to leave Highway 5 in Washington and cut over to the 9 up to Abbotsford, but maybe leaving the 5 at Bellingham and taking 539 to Abbotsford would be better. Thanks,

Roads in BC

This summer we are planning to drive from California to Banff and Jasper and on to Calgary and then to Glacier. So far we have decided to highway 5 to the 9 in Washington. Our next highway would be 1 to Merrit, 97c to Kelowna. We want to spend some time in the Kelowna area, and then on to Banff and Jasper using the 97 to Highway 1 again then on into Banff. We will be stopping along the way. After searching the archives, I could not find the info that I wanted. What are those roads like? I know they will be mountainous and somewhat windy. We have a 34 foot gas RV and pull a CRV. What should we expect from the roads, except beautiful scenery. Thanks,

RE: Pet Resort in Nipomo, CA

My son lives in that area and he has been there to check it out and says it seems nice. One of his co-workers has left her dog there for day care and seems to like it. Good Luck

RE: Dometic Locking Latch

Northwest RV Supply in Eugene, Oregon has all kinds of older RV parts. We were able to get a "New" older model back-up monitor from them at a great price.

Aquapel

Has anyone used this product? Aquapel is a product similar to Rainex. Costco is now selling it, but wanted to check it out.

RE: Pelican Point RV in Half Moon Bay

We really like Half Moon Bay State park. It is right on the coast and the sites are fairly large. There are no hook ups but you can use the generator during the day. Make reservations throughReserve America. We have not stayed at Pelican Point.

RE: Air Cards. Only need for a few months during the Summer

We have Verizon and we tether our cell phone to our laptop. We only need it periodically when wifi is not available. It is a feature and you can turn it off at will and they prorate the 60 dollars. We have been doing this for about 2 years and it has worked great. Just make sure you call or go online and remember to turn it off when you are done. Geeks on Tour have alot of info on this.

RE: RV Internet service

We use Verizon also, but tether it to our cell phone. That way you do not have to subscribe to the 60 dollar service for a year. They pro-rate it by the day. It is considered a feature and you can turn it on and off as you use it. We end up using it only occasionally since most places have wifi.
