Big Dog, if you are not leaving till Thrusday you can stop by here and pick up my 40 cup coffee maker.
Surgery is scheduled for 5 June. They will do three seperate proceedures on my right shoulder at the least and also the carpel tunnel. This may not release the two fingers that are frozen but it will release most of my problems with the right hand. The shoulder is another issue and they told us that once they get in there they may find more problems since I am having so many different problems and none of what they see on the MRI explaines all of it. Until then I am a left handed guy with only partial use of it....This getting old is not for sissy's. I will learn to drive the jeep in a more gentle way in the future and I will remember to keep the tires on the ground.

Sue got me home last night, I am pretty much useless, both shoulders and now the hips and back from sleeeping in a chair for 9 nights...I go in on Monday and they will start the testing....glad when this is fixed....

it was a combo Ron, the jeep beat me up one day and then I put two group 31s in my MH and they are tough to get in and then I helped a buddy put in two D8 Cat batteries. Really tore me up. We are going to kick over 5 today so Sue has more lanes to drive in. We plan to hit Corning tonight and home on Friday if she can drive that far each day. She did though drive 440 miles on Monday, she is anxious to get me into our doctor and what they think will be surgery. WE do not trust them in Yuma..

We are in the Elks at Visalia, California and Sue is doing all the driving, I have done some damage to my right shoulder and we are headed home for what looks to be surgery on it. I am about as useless as can be right now. My left shoulder is not doing real well either so its not been a lot of fun for Sue. All our friends came over and pack up our motorhome and shut our lot down for us so we could get on the road. Looks like my summer will consist of rehabing the shoulder or shoulders as it may be.....it never fails anymore, something is always broke....

Steve, Sara, I have sent you a PM. Not sure we had moved into the place we have now when you were here last year. We made it up to Q for one day during the swap meet and that has been it. We have been busy working on the place here. Right now I am broke with two bad shoulders so we are kicked back till I heal up..Wind is blowing too hard to be working outside anyway,..
Looks like we will miss the rally for sure, we have to be at another location on the 16th. Two much going on at the same time. Next year we will make sure that does not happen. We missed the first one and made all the rest and now we miss two in a row.

John, I stuck my lights on each side of the spare tire and never got a complaint.
BigDog to make you feel better. I have to replace both starting batteries before heading for the NW and today I noticed my temp gauge was pegged out to the high side and it was not even running. Started it up and it stayed there, that is when I discovered I was going to be putting in two new starting batteries. They lasted 8 years though so no complaints. By the time I am done will not be able to pay for the park to visit with you guys for a day. All new tile floors, new doors and now a new 16x20 palapa roof (patio).
Looking forward to visiting at the Rally, sure hope we make connections. Bigdog when you get here we will have to take Jeanne out for a jeep run. I should have the jeep fixed by then...

Sorry Ron B. but according to NOAA, the honor of sunniest U.S. city falls to Yuma, Arizona, with over 313 sunny days every year.
John, can you get a pair of the magnet lights and then tap into your tail lights bypassing the relay. Seems to me that you can make it work that way, no different than when you use to do it when you were a kid and wanted to tow someones boat out to the water.
BigDog are you still on your way on the weekend? Right now my renters are still saying they will be gone by the 3rd.

Make sure to visit the museum in Holbrook, they had one heck of a gunfight there back in cowboy days and the museum us very interesting with the story and just lots to see.....For those of you up in the rain, its 88 today with a low of 65 tonight. Absolutely wonderful. Lets see, shall I golf tomorrow, go jeeping in the desert go to the jazz concert? So many FUN things to do when its not raining. Did you know Yuma Arizona is the sunniest place in the western hemisphere, YEP it is?....

Big Dog, if you have never done so, I would certainly try to take in Canyon De Chelly when you are coming down. Also there is a very nice dry BLM campground in Bush, this gives you access to Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, the great museum in Blanding and the Hovenweep dwellings, all of them very interesting, Natural Bridges, Canyon of the Gods and the very interesing wall drawings at the campground all will keep you very busy....about 90 right now at 3PM. I have installed a windo AC unit so I am not using my roof air, MUCH CHEAPER. The unit in our casita is finally being used also...
Sue and I will be at the rally site on the Wed. before it starts, hopeuflly we will meet an early bird or two. The next morning we have no choice but to be on our way. We drew the short straw this year for some other events and getting Sue to a doctor up there as problems continue to pursue her. She did however get a great ambulance ride recently and it was only $1800....

I order all my filters on line from Filter One out of NY I believe. Fishinghat put me on to it years ago. BigDog your engine should take between 18 and 21 qts depending on what pan they put on. You transmission will take 17. For the cost of the airfilter at NAPA I get all the filters out of Filter One and they ship free. That is the air filter, oil filter, two fuel filters and two tansmission filters. fill the engine and transmission I use a big funnel with tygon tube clamped to the end of it, I bungee it to the ladder and route the tube thru the top of the engine cover on the back of the MH when its in the up posiiton. Since we have the same rig, I know it works.
89 here today, wonderful and its about 75 here at 8. Just does not get any better....

John, we have driven that a number of times and its a nice drive, it does get windy. Wonderful little BLM park in Bluff right on the river andso much to see around there, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, Moki Dugway. Blanding has a wonderful museum of early Indian artifacts.
Big Dog look forward to seeing you, looks like our lot will have a spot on it by the 3rd. for you to park on. We have 50A, W, S, and washing facitiies. Looks like it is in the 90s starting on Thursday.

We got to go out and visit with John and Nikki before they left and we were very impressed with their Country Coach, what a beautiful rig. Looking forward to Jon and Jeanne stopping in for a visit. We are only at 68 today but it calls for back at 90 by Friday.

Had a great jeep run with John and Nikki and they did very good for a stock height jeep. Most of the jeeps they ran with had large lifts like mine, 4.5 inches, 1 inch body lift and 35 inch tires and then John and Nikki had the stock height. They went everywhere we went and they did it very well. I hope to get out to see their new MH tomorrow.
Bigdog, looking forward to you and Jeanne getting down to our place to visit. You will not need your ski coats for sure, its in the 80s right now and probably in the 90s at least by then...

Your not going to believe this, oh wait, of course you will. They took Sue to the ER here in Yuma yesterday via ambulance. They thought it might be a heart attack but it was not. It had all the symptoms early on but then let up. Still not sure what it was but they will talk to us this morning. She spent the night in Yuma Regional and should be released today.
John, Nikki right now our friends have a lot you can stay on but its day to day and they may have it rented before you get here. I will keep checking with friends as your arrival gets closer. Let me know when you have a pretty solid arrival date.
The cold has left our area and its suppose to be 72 today and all the out look maps show it staying in the mid 70's, beats the heck out of 25 that my son reports from our place up there.

BigDog, we will have to do coffee here in Yuma or in May in Silverdale. I am back home down here. Had so many family issues that nothing got done this year when I was there for two weeks.
