RE: Las Vegas

We stayed at the Oasis and enjoyed it. THey have a seperate pool for adults which was nice. It is only a short ride to the strip and parking there is no problem. July will be hot. We were there in Aug. and had to cover every opening to keep the MH cool.
Enjoy your trip!

RE: St Augustine Fl

We just left North Beach and loved it. Our site was huge, you have natural privacy in-between sites, Atlantic just across the street, intercoastal waterway on the backside, nice pool & hottub and quiet. It was great and we do plan to return.

RE: Myrtle Beach, SC Recommendations

We like Ocean Lakes because all of the sites are pull thru and it is close to a lot of restaurants, etc. Our Dog prefers Huntington Beach State Park. The sites are back-in and you have to walk a path to get to the beach. Once you are there you can almost have all the beach to yourself. Our dog played so much on the beach she was exhausted every night. At Ocean Lakes there are fireworks almost every night which some dogs are scared of. We have already made plans to go back to Huntington Beach State Park.
Enjoy!

RE: Disney's fort wilderness

There are certain loops for pets and you need to let them know when you make your reservation that you will be bringing pets with you. They also have a nice dog park in the campground.

RE: Beach at St Andrews

If you take bikes, you can easily ride to the beach. They also have large parking areas at the beach.

RE: People that probably should not RV

We went to the snack bar at the campground and told the teenager behind the counter we wanted lite ice and she said they only had one kind. She was serious.
We laughed about that for days.

We go to Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach every spring for at least a month and then the rest of the year we go different places.

RE: Washing Windows

I almost bought one of these kits but it states on it not recommended for automobile windows so I wasn't sure how it would do for the MH.
I don't know the reason behind this. My husband normally uses newspaper to clean the big window.

RE: Which campgrounds in Myrtle Beach do you recommend ?

We really like Ocean Lakes but will never go in the summer again. The golf carts and the noise at night without anyone enforcing anything was just too much. You would take your life in your hands just to get to the beach. We are used to the spring and fall and will continue to go then. The campground does have alot to offer and some people like it this busy.
Enjoy wherever you go!

RE: Brakes

We are normally pretty diligent about checking the parking brake. As many times as we have towed, I still keep a checklist in the Liberty for getting it ready for towing.
Just to be on the safe side, we have an appointment to have the brakes checked on the MH.
Thanks for your responses.

Brakes

Another question from the non-mechanically inclined family. We have the US Gear braking system and tow a 2006 Jeep Liberty. My husband went to have the Liberty inspected and it was rejected because of the rear brakes. We had to replace the rotors & brake pads. The mechanice asked if we towed the Liberty, which we do. We went cross country last year. On steep grades we would downgrade and let the transmission slow us down and didn't ride the brakes. Has anyone else had their brakes go bad because of towing? We understand there is going to be a recall on the brakes from Workhorse for the motorhome. How often do you have your brakes on the motorhome checked? Any help or advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.

RE: Natural bridge jellystone

We like the campground. You can choose full sun sites or wooded sites. There aren't a whole lot of restaurants around. The Natural Bridge hotel has a restaurant and used to have a seafood buffet on Fri. night. I'm not sure if they still do. It was a little pricey for what you got. We normally just grill out when we are at this campground.

RE: Winegard Travlr Slimline SK-3005

Correction, it is a SK-3005
Thanks for your response. My husband will go on the roof today to see if anything is stuck.
Unfortunately in our area, we don't have any authorized Winegard dealers.

Winegard Travlr Slimline SK-3005

First let me say my husband and myself are not mechanically inclined but are willing to try to fix some things. Our Winegard was working just fine but now when you turn it on, the satellite searches for the signal but the arms are staying straight up with the satellite dish instead of opening up like they are supposed to. I have sent Winegard an e-mail but they haven't responded yet. I have also looked at the manual and do not see anything relating to this problem. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you!

RE: I-81 near Roanoke, VA

The Yogi Bear Jellystone campground in Natural Bridge Station has some larger sites, about 35 miles from Roanoke. In the opposite direction there is a campground at Fort Chiswell that should be able to accomodate you, about 60 miles from Roanoke. There's not a lot in this area for 40' rigs.
