Power & Internet if staying at Camp Scholler (AirVenture)?
My mother-in-law decided she wants to go visit her relatives in Minnesota and North Dakota sometime this summer. Since I'm overdue for a trip to AirVenture ('98 was the last time), I figured I could tow her car as far as Oshkosh and then she'd only have to drive the short hop to Minneapolis.
The catch is I 'work from home'...home being where the RV is parked. I have a cellphone data plan with AT&T Wireless, which I'm pretty sure will work on the convention grounds. My problem is power. I don't want to run my ginny just to power a laptop. I do have an inverter that will run the laptop, but I don't know for how long. I'm thinking I could park myself somewhere (maybe the break room at the museum) to work for a few hours every day. Does that seem feasable?
Anybody have any suggestions? The alternative might be to stay somewhere with hookups, but my guess is it's too late to even think about a campsight reservation :)
Memoral Day Weekend Getaway near Gettysburg, PA
My wife and I are looking for a place to get away for the long weekend and just spend some down time. I know no matter where we go it will be crowded. However, we don't want to go some where with a million kids running around or drunken 'adults' partying all night.
Any recommendations?
Campground recommendation near Stratford (Bridgeport), CT?
My sister just had twins, so we're planning a trip up her way...probably over Mother's Day Weekend.
Any recommendations for a campground near Stratford, CT?
We're also thinking of stopping at the Green Dragon in Ephrata, PA. So any recommendations in that area would be appreciated as well. I'm going to email them and see if we can just stay in the parking lot Thursday night :)
Thanks in advance,
Matt
