RE: Campground ridiculous prices

I have been rving since I retired. I can hardly believe it's been 10 1/2 years. My rig is starting to show some wear and so am I. Everything related to rving has gone up in price, campground fees, fuel, tires, insurance etc., my income has actually gone down since I started rving. I can no longer afford $100+ per hr. to repair the things that I can't fix myself. It is clear that I will soon have to stop rving due to the expense. PS While I am carping; My Health Insurance is scheduled to increase $50 per month starting 10/01/2009 all the while the polititians are talking about a national health plan and getting costs under control.

RE: What was your favourite motorcycle that you have owned ?

I have owned several motorcycles over the years but my favorite was a 1953 Triumph 301/2 cuid Speedtwin. It didnt have a lot of power but it was easy and fun to ride. One of the worst was a 1958 BSA 40 cuid Spitfire.

RE: Porta Boat

About a month ago, I saw two people in a Porta Boat out in San Francisco Bay. It looked to be about 12' and had a small outboard motor.

RE: Boats?? Who's got one?

As they say, a boat is just a big hole in the water that you throw your money in. Take a look at the forum " Thehulltruth.com" Lots of boating information.

1997 Dodge Caravan Parking Brake

Does anyone know how to adjust the parking brake on a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Air Conditioner Noise

I was traveling down the highway with a/c on, all was normal. The a/c drive belt broke and of course the a/c quit working. I replaced the broken belt and now when the a/c clutch is engaged it makes a terrible screaming noise until you turn it off. Now the Check Engine Soon Light is also on. Any ideas on what is wrong with my 1994 Pinnacle with 454 Chevrolet engine P-30 chassis.

Brew Time

Does anyone know why my Delongi coffee maker takes so long to brew a pot. It has been kind of slow since day one and it's getting slower even though I have descaled it several times. This seems to happen to all the coffee makers that I've owned.

RE: Dancing with the Stars

I think Ty and Chelsie will be gone tonight. Viewing DWTS from the first show I would have to say Ty is the most improved dancer. I have never voted except for the last two weeks. I voted for Ty, not because he is the best dancer but because needs support.

RE: $32/Gallon of Water

Went to the Alameda Co. Fair. They had a large beer consession set up. It was a hot day with plenty of thirsty people but no one was buying. They wanted $6 for a cup of beer that I estimate to be about 9oz. This means that a case of 24x120z. beer would bring in $122. This sure looks like greed to me. I guess the vendor went home that day with little or no money. Out in the Arizona desert I paid $1.25 for a Bud Lite in the can and $3 for a barbqued hamburger and they had a country band playing. The Alameda Co. Fair can kiss me where the sun don't shine.

Your Opinion Please

How much should I pay for a 1992 Buick Century. This car is a four door ac/ps/at with Remco trans. pump, custom made tow brackets and Roadmaster Falcon tow bar, rear lights are wired using diodes. The Buick has 110,000 miles, new brakes,no dents in body, tires are not new but plenty tread and no sidewall cracking. No axulury brakes. Has been kept in garage when not in use. Your opinion please.

RE: Jack Lalanne juicer

I have a Jack LaLine juicer. I don't use it very often, cleanup is a PIA. I use it mostly for separating juice to make jelly. One time I put a potato in the juicer just to see what would come out. Believe me potato juice is god awful.

RE: Son is Enlisting!

The military does not give anything away for free. Remember the mission is first. If Aarons unit is activated his education will be set aside. I'm sure glad that America has a strong military and I understand about the cost of college but I sure have a hard time thinking this a good idea, judging from what i've seen in the past. Wish Aaron good luck for me.

RE: Ca. fising question

If you are a California resident you will need a SPORT fISHING lICENSE $41.20 ALSO a California Bay-Delta sport fishing enhancement stamp $6.30 If you want to fish with two rods you will need a second-rod stamp $12.85 If you fish in the Colorado River from the Arizona shore you need to have an Arizona-Colorado special use permit $3.00 Total $63.35 In California the license fees are costing more while there are less fish to catch. I don't know what has happened to the California Dept. of Fish & Game. It seems like idiots are in control.

RE: vienna sausages??

I used to love vienna saussage. I would eat them right out of the can or slice them and make a sandwich. Either I have changed or the vienna's have changed, now they taste terrible and smell like dog food. Don't want anymore of them unless I get really really hungry.

RE: Cow gas and the EPA

Dr. Dean Edel, a medical Dr. and radio personality from the San Francisco Bay Area says that the average person passes gas, breaks wind fourteen times daily. With over six billion people living on the earth, that would equal more than eightyfour billion events per day. So I'm thinking how many people does it take to mitigate one diesel powered motorhome? Cows, pigs and other farm animals may not be a problem, it might just be some two leged critters.
