Island Park, ID- where should we stay?

Looking for a place that we can ride the side by sides and possibly the ATV right from camp. I've looked up Red Rock RV...are there any others? Most of the forest service campground descriptions say no OHV/ATV's in campground. Does Henry's Lake state park allow riding? We prefer forest service/state park areas over private parks. Thanks!

RE: Overnight near Fargo

15 miles west on I94 is the town of Casselton there are full hook up sights at the Motel you are able to use the swimming pool in the hotel if you are camping there it does not have any trees and is basicly gravel spots but are big and easy to get in and out get off interstate and turn right you cant miss it. That's where we stayed...easy in-easy out

RE: Cabella's

Red River State Recreation Area is the campground just down the street from Cabela's...and I just copied this from the website. There are flood gates near the Cabela's parking lot...just can't remember which side of the lot they're on. Visitor Alert! Sherlock Campground will open friday May 10th with electric service to sites. Water and sewer remains off due to current river level. For Reservations dial 1-866-857-2757 or on-line www.mndnr.gov/reservations.

Taylor Park- Better to approach from Gunnison or Buena Vista

We'll be making a trip to Taylor Park in August. We will be driving to the area from Arizona with a loaded Toyhauler. Is it a better approach from the Gunnison side or from Buena Vista. We could head north up through Cortez, Co towards Montrose and then to Gunnison OR we could take the interstates and then head west to Buena Vista and over Cottonwood Pass. Which route would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance!
