Weekend warrior fuel generator problem

Can't get the generator to start. No fuel in the lines coming from the rear fuel tank. We know the pump to the gas nozzle has swollen and seized gears. Does this also supply fuel to the generator? Don't think so, but wanted to check.
Generator will fire with starter fluid, but no fuel in any of the lines and won't pull from a gas can held below camper with hose running straight up to generator.
The tank has about 20 gallons in it. Fuel has been treated with Stabil. Generator has not been ran for a few months due to husband fighting cancer.
Any ideas?

RE: Question regarding removing an eye from a cat. UPDATE!!!!!!

I have a totally blind cat that is just over a year old. He functions well in the house. He has learned the layout and runs and plays with the other cats. Occasionally he will get disoriented and run into something but not often. He lost his sight due to cold in the eyes. I didn't find him until the one eye had ruptured and the other had turned white. The one eye shriveled up to nothing; the other looks like a normal eye, but white. The missing eye has healed and the local vet said to leave it open unless I wanted to sew it shut for cosmetic reasons. Less chance of infection in the future if left open. He is one of the most lovable cats I have ever had.

RE: Pumpkin overload

I set pumpkins in a cool spot one year and they kept for a couple months with no problems. I had one spoil toward spring so into the garden it went. Lots of new pumpkins that summer.

RE: Peek-a-Poo with night blindness issues

I have a blind cat that lost his eyesight as a kitten. If you just saw him in the house you would never know he was blind. He is pretty fearless (jumps from place to place and climbs). The giveaway is if he loses track of where he is and runs into a wall or when he tries to climb dow, he will feel until his paws touch something solid. If he knows the height and it's low, he just jumps. Will attack toys, the other cats, and our dogs without hesitation. For a long time, my husband swore he had some sight. But not possible- one eye completely gone and the other is all white.

RE: PLAGUE OF FLEA'S

Here are a couple things you might try - add garlic to the diet. Repels fleas. A coal tar shampoo repels not only fleas but also ticks and lice. For yard spraying, I use malathion in the spring and again in August. Kills not only the fleas but also the mosquitos that like to hide in the grass. Spray around the base of the house for the fall and no winter spiders coming in. The spring spraying helps take care of the ants. I have to watch what I put on my dogs because of the one's flea allergy. She collapsed a few years ago while on Frontline. Apparently the fleas still have to bite for it to work. I need something that repels - one bite sets off the reaction.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

I've been reading but not posting. It has been nice to read about the trip to Ohio.
My husband has been ill for the past month and we finally got a dianosis Friday evening. He has advanced stage lung cancer.

RE: Ice Cream

If you can use some of the artificial sweetener, I have made the following
Banana Ice Cream (makes 4-5 quarts)
5 eggs
sweetener equivalent to 2 c. sugar (I use the Aldi brand of packets)
1 t. vanilla
3-4 bananas (mashed)
Half n Half or cream to fill maker
Beat eggs and sweetener until creamy and thick. Add vanilla and bananas and mix well. Pour into freezer. Add dairy until reaches fill line.

RE: considering TH, need to carry 4K vehicle...

I would say cargo trailer (ie: race trailer) with a truck or find a different truck camper and the flatbed trailer. We did the truck camper combo for years with tractors and first a pop-up truck camper then a Lance. We upgraded because it got a little small for 2 adults and 3 kids.

RE: Toy Hauler but not for Toys

We bought our toyhauler knowing that it would spend most of the first year sitting on a permanent site and being used as a regular camper. We wanted the toyhauler for the reasons you mentioned. The kids are able to use the rear as a playarea and when needed, we have room for the toys. We upgraded the truck about two years later to accomodate the weight. During those two years, the Dodge towed the TH some but it was basically unloaded. Now that the children are older, we can haul the toys, but it still gets used as a regular camper with plenty of room for them plus the friends.

RE: Scoopable Ice Cream

Here's my recipe.
5-6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1-2 t. vanilla (to taste)
Chopped fruit
Cream
Half n Half
Milk
Make sure that you whip the eggs until they are lemon yellow and thick. Add sugar and vanilla and beat more. You can now add chopped fruit if want to. Pour into freezer. Now add cream and / or milk until full. The more cream you use the thicker and creamier. The more milk, the more grainy and icy. Depending on the freezer and the ice temperature, you may find that the ice cream is softserve or fairly hard. Sometimes you need to harden the ice cream overnight in a freezer to make the ice cream firm. Weather will also have an impact - more humid weather or rain may result in the ice cream not freezing hard.
