RE: Keeping A FW From Being Stolen

I've discussed this issue with dealers and rv people...most seem to feel that this is rather rare...I remember when I first started RV'ing, I went to an RV store to purchase a king pin lock...the guy said he was glad to sell it to me but he'd not heard of stealing 5er's as an issue. But if you want a little security, the king pin lock should help....I'm not sure how they could steal it with a king pin lock on other than with welding tools....and if they want it that bad, they're going to get it.

RE: Jack location for leveling

Thanks guys for your input...I think based on the input that I'm giving up the idea of jacking it up and instead re-connect...the last thing I want to do is twist or bend frame or axle. Thanks again

Jack location for leveling

I pull a 32' 5th wheel Keystone Sprinter, I need to level fiver and don't want to hook it up so I'm going to jack it up. It is a two axle fiver with those crossbars from one axle to the other. I just need to jack up the left side...I was just going to put it on the axle near the tires but a friend said I could damage the axle...anyone know where I should place the jack?

RE: Earthquakes & RV's

Thanks guys...first let me say I'm not exactly white knuckling over this...but I did want to get some ideas on what set up on the RV should work best during earthquakes.

RE: Earthquakes & RV's

Thanks folks, I'm mulling around the info...I think I'll go with everything down and in place. The rolling motion problem didn't occur to me but I would think that if it is bad enough to topple an rv on its side...we're in deep regardless.

Earthquakes & RV's

I've never been through a major quake in an RV...a couple of 5's but nothing big...officials have announced a warning for SC of a swarm of quakes for the next 24 hours. DOUBLE CHECK MY LOGIC PLEASE....jacks should be up and tripod should be off RIGHT??? My logic is that I should ride out a quake on the tires. Of course landing gear has to stay down.

Dometic Toilet 210 - Traveler Lite

I was wondering if anyone on this site might have experience with these Dometic toilets. I have installed the toilet and it is working more or less. My problem is that if the band is too tight, the ball doesn't pivot right and if its too loose, I get a leak. Also the pedal mechanism is too stiff, I'm afraid that I might break the shaft (which was the reason for the repair). The seal kit came with two rings...is there anything written anywhere exactly how those two rings go into place? Any suggestions would be appreciated. http://manuals.adventurerv.net/Dometic-Traveler-Lite-600344934-Toilet-210-owners-manual.pdf
