RE: Modifying Lower Bunk for Baby

I sewed two truck bed nets together, and used quick disconnects on 1" nylon straps to connect the net to the sides, bottom and top of the overhead bunk in a class C. Same thing could be done for a bunkhouse.

RE: Dealers that won't take Workhorse trade-ins?

I don't think it was a ploy. I'll give you a ploy. Just as a lark I had Camping World do a trade-in on my RV (no intentions of trading). They said since the company went out of business they could only give me xxx. Then they said in two weeks the new NADA guide would come out and it would show a big drop in price and they would only be able to give me much less. I was thinking as I drove home.. Why the hell would they give me more if they know in two weeks it would be worth way less? Idiots.

RE: Safety cables...to cross or not?

Cross them or don't. Follow the law if it exists. But if the cables are connecting to about the same place on the hitch (like most folks cables are) then there is what, 4" of difference between crossed and uncrossed? If you think that is going to make a big difference in sway then I've got some property to sell you. If the hitch mount separates from the tow vehicle, the cables will stretch and the tongue of the trailer will still visit the ground. If the states really cared about saftey, they would require the chains connect to the chassis of the towed vehicle independent of the tow mount or a frame and require the chains to attach to the towing vehicles chassis independent of the hitch.
