We were at Tom Sawyer in 2011 after the 'big' flood and they said they were under 17 feet of water. It won't be that bad this year, they think, but it'll still take some time to dry out.

Happy Mothers Day???
My cousins wife got their Visa bill in the mail this week and when she looked it over she discovered a charge that she couldn't identify, from some place in Indiana. She called Visa and had they took the charge off the card. That night when she was telling Mike, her husband about it he said " Honey, that was for your Mothers Day gift that I'd ordered!" Too Funny.

We live in West Memphis and we drove by there about an hour ago and they are underwater. The water is up to the levee. Tom Sawyer is between the levee and the river. The water is supposed to start going down in about another week but it'll be a long time before the park is up and running again. They basically have to rebuild the roads and all electrical etc before they can reopen. There is a KOA just a few miles up I-55 north of us that is nice-you might check it out if you want to stay in the West Memphis area.

God bless all of you. I know depression is so horrible. i've suffered mild depression at times in my life and there isn't anything anyone can do or say that will bring you out of it. My friends brother suffered from severe depression his whole life. He was a very successful accountant, married, two great kids, been in therapy and on meds for a long long time. But 2 years ago in march, when his wife went to the store he went into the bathroom and took his life. Please don't blame yourself and don't blame her. Remember how much you love her and how she still loves you.

George Beverly Shea
Sad news today. George Beverly Shea who sang for years at the Billy Graham crusades died last night at 104 years of age. He introduced the world to the hymn "How Great Thou Art". He was such an inspiration and he'll be so missed.

If the smoke from someone elses campfire is bothering me I just go inside. And your smoker isn't going to put off so much smoke as to really bother anyone. Not nearly as much as a roaring campfire. We had my SIL visit us at a campsite once and all she did was complain about the smoke getting in her 'hayer'. We haven't invited her again...don't want my smoke to smell up her 'hayer'!!

We've had AHS for about 10 years. No problems. They've replaced our water heater, they entered the call as emergency because they know you need your hot water. Replaced our furnace 2 years ago. They've worked on my washer and garage door opener. My DIL works for First American in Ca. I have no experience with them but its got to be a good company cause they hired her!

You don't know how i wanted to. But, she lives across the street in her mothers house with her step father. And when I say "lives" I mean they co-exist under one roof, nothing going on there. He is such a dear sweet man that I'd not want to do anything to set her off because she's what they used to call a loose cannon. Always ready for a confrontation. He's hoping she'll move on soon. (and I do too!)

Our local weatherman reported that Phil hasn't been seen and the feeling is that he may be on the run possibly headed south. Officially listed as a felon.

We had a similar diet years ago for dh's high cholestrol and blood pressure. We both lost weight and had plenty to eat. It works but the trick is not to go back to your old habits. Which we did!!!

Oh, my gosh, yes! i have enough recipes that i could make a different dish 3 times a day for the rest of my life and have a box full left over. And books, i always have a list of about 30 that Imust read! Every time someone tells me about a book they like or i hear about one on the radio or tv, I jot it down. I have scraps of paper with a book name on it that I've had for years! Just not enough time--unless I give up cooking, cleaning, bathing and sleeping!!!!

If you make a donation, in my case, March of Dimes, your mailbox will be flooded with junk mail from people looking for money. My next door neighbor still gets junk mail for her mother who died over 8 years ago. Someone suggested sending all the junk back to them in the SASE that comes with the junk.
