RE: Engineers strike again,water inlet

BB 2,
I am a 40 foot FW and doubt I can get into a State park in PA. For sure I can not get into a State park in CA.

RE: Engineers strike again,water inlet

I am not a long time RV'r (3 years), I have only owned one RV (a FW) and I do not know everything; but, I have only seen RV parks with utility posts on the driver side of an RV. My two fresh water inlets and all other utility hook ups are on the driver side. My FW has what the manufacturer refers to as a docking station. I guess putting the fresh water inlet on the passenger side is no big deal, but if bacterium is the driving issue, why would you have the utility water inlet on the driver side! This thread is not very consistent.
I would never fill my fresh water tank at a dump station and I do not eat my lunch while sitting on the john at an old dirty truck stop bathroom. I have gloves, soap, disinfectant and paper towels at my docking station and I use them every time I connect or disconnect. If I get anything on my clothing I change immediately or spray disinfectant on them.

RE: boxed curtain valances

The real question is how to keep the damned screws tight. Sorry for diverting the thread.

RE: RV shopping.....loss of deposit?!

I do not give anyone a deposit for any reason, refundable or not. If they cannot wait until I am ready or they will not order without a deposit, I move on. All a non-refundable deposit tells me is the company does not have sufficient working capital or they have problems with customers cancelling a sale, which usually means the customer was not happy.

RE: Bed tonneau covers

I too have a Pace Edwards and I turned the handle down on the receiver to keep it from hitting the cover. I replaced the cotter pin with a slip key. If you follow the maintenance recommended by the manufacturer, you should not have any problems. I did not follow the instructions and they sent me replace parts free. I have been using the cover over four years and cannot say enough nice things about the product and the manufacturer.

RE: 5th wheel legs

Spending a couple grand is not what I call a simple way of doing something.

I do it the same way. Wish there was an easy way, but if there is, I can't find it.

RE: Does Ford Diesel engine/xmission have Exhaust Brake?

Chris,
You are right, I do not have an exhaust brake in my 09 Ford diesel. It down shifts automatically only.

RE: Does Ford Diesel engine/xmission have Exhaust Brake?

My 09 F250 Ford diesel has an exhaust brake. I do not have to touch the brake if I have the cruise control on. It works well. The engine is strong and I pull a 40 footer.
Yes, I have air bags.

RE: Debit or Credit Card?

Would love to, but it would take hours and many pages of writing. You need a financial advisor.

RE: Adapter for tail pipe on tow vehicle

Ford dealer informed me that to alter the exhaust system and in particular the tail pipe in any way voids the warranty.
