RE: hauling fifth wheel with canoe
I use a T-bar in a front hitch with a saddle for my kayak and the other saddle on a roof rack cross bar. It is a 16' touring sit in kayak. I have the rear of the kayak just past the back of the cab and front hangs over the T-bar. I like the post picture from ereed52 though.

I have recently seen CHP using scopes rather than radar guns to catch people on the phone while driving. I bet it's a more expensive ticket, and easier to catch especially if there is a camera attached to the scope. I also recently saw a motorcycle city cop making a right turn suddenly turn and pull along the drivers window of the car in front of me. He had a helmet cam on and activated it while looking right into the window. When our light turned green, he pulled the car over as he caught the driver on the phone.
