RE: Salesmen...sheesh

I'm an RV salesperson. I do not sell trailers that are too heavy for my customers' vehicles. Now let me tell you of those customers that insist on towing a 43' destination trailer across country with a 1/2 ton. In one case, he had his friend tow it off our lot, then he hooked his 1/2 ton off and went south. Yes, salespeople shouldn't sell something too heavy. But we as consumers ALL owe it to ourselves to know what we're driving and what we can tow. Every day I have people who walk in here with a 3.7 Ram pickup that they are convinced can tow 10K... It works both way folks!

RE: Can't find leak

I would absolutely check the marker lights - pinhole in the caulk can cause what you're talking about. Also, while the back wall may in fact have a leak, Passports have "hung" back walls, meaning they aren't laminated. Which also means it isn't delaminating.

RE: Shoes for RVing

I hit the soles of my feet with antiperspirant before putting on my sandals. Seems to keep my feet cleaner since they don't get sweaty, and keeps my sandals smelling fresher.

CampinCandice I have tried to get back to you on FB but it won't let me get to you. That's odd! I guess you get what you pay for!

Go to facebook on my page Richard C Daniels and look at the puppy I told you about. We can't see the picture unless we're friends - are you ok with all of us friending you?

RE: Challenging tradition

I remarried a couple of years ago after being widowed. Truthfully, I'd recommend young women keep their maiden names... The hassle of changing a name when one has assets is a royal pain in the backside! It isn't as simple as filling out a social security form - it's bank accounts, mortgages, 401k's etc.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Good morning everyone. So how do you go about making a decal of the picture of Fella looking up at me? That would be the best way to do this. If I could find a local artist then it could be painted on the camper somewhere. A decal would allow you to put it on the back window and still allow light to come into the camper. Last night I slept until 6am. That is unusual for me as I usually get up two or three times during the night to go to the bathroom. I fee so refreshed this morning. Today I will finish unloading the motorhome and store this stuff until we bring the fifth wheel home. I am so excited to get back to the roots of our camping with a truck and camper. I guess there are different strokes for different folks and ours is not the motorhome route. You know it is nice to come to this thread where there Is peace and everybody gets along. Its like one big happy family. We are all brothers and sisters here with one common thing and that is our love for our fur babies and our love for each other. Looks like we are off to a pretty good start with the Old Fella Rally in Sevierville. I am really looking forward to this years rally. SGT Joe you really need to attend this years rally. Scottiemon you also need to come.CA Poppy, Campincandice,Hoops, Susan and the rest of you need to come and help with the celebration. Gary have you registered yet? Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure tell someone you love them. I'd love to attend the rally! My challenge is that I work in the RV industry and this is still peak season, so no vacations. :-(

RE: Rear living room travel trailors

This is our next travel trailer: https://www.granddesignrv.com/showroom/2017/travel-trailer/reflection/floorplans/313rlts It is pricey, but is by far the best unit we've found. Nice looking unit but better not wait to long as it said dealer stock only so looks like they are going to discontinue it. Just wondering......can't dealer stock also mean that the dealer pre ordered based on past sales? Dealer stock means it is limited to what dealers already have - they are no longer being produced. In this case the 313RLTS has been replaced by a 315RTS, which has an additional closet in the master.

RE: Truck and 5th wheel or conversion van and TT

We loved traveling in our conversion van towing a TT. Lots of room for kids and dogs. It was actually more stable from the wind when the TT was hooked up! That said, I HATED driving it in the snow!! It was a real dog... Something to consider if this will be a daily driver since you are in MN. We ultimately traded for a Suburban 2500. Kids are grown now, so we have a truck.
