RE: Are the 2013 voltage any better than the 2011/2012's ?

Aznative89, what are you going to pull it with?
Thanks for the info...any opinion about the dual pane windows vs the regular ones, I will be full timing in it in Alaska for a few years?
I ordered a 2013 F-350 platinum DRW to pull it with.
That 350 will handle it. Sorry I can't help with the windows. I can imagine it'll be cold in winter even with the double windows. I've put a folded a blanket behind the couch to stop cold air while watching TV.

RE: Are the 2013 voltage any better than the 2011/2012's ?

I pd $72,300 + tax for my '13 3905. The Epic pkg was supposedly free. Full body paint and pretty much had everything but the dual pane windows. It was one of the first '13s, took delivery 5-1-12 so the Epic 2 and 3rd A/C wasn't available. I've had some issues but much nicer than my '08 Fuzion.
Have you done anything to your truck to get it up to spec for towing that (very nice) beast?
No. I considered the newer Chevy with the beefed up frame but mine is paid for. I did a lot of research of the differences and the frame is the major upgrade with a little more power and slightly larger tires. My truck pulls it great with no frame flex that I can see or feel. It stops better than any of the trucks I've had with the aftermarket brake controllers. I've replaced the tires with the factory Michelin 235/80R 17. My insurance agent said they have no requirements for the particular specs as long as it's not ridiculous (like a 1/2 ton pulling it). They will represent me and I have a lot of liability coverage. Not saying it's the 100% right thing to do but I've seen way, way worse.

sounds good, I don't have to pay sales tax so that's a good thing, the only options this one doesn't have is the full body paint, the 3 "fantastic fans", and the dual pane windows. what type of issues have you had? and what are some of the good qualities that you seen over other toy haulers?
A couple of slide out motor issues (still don't like the Schwintek system), a leaking garage window and tail gate seal replacement, issue with the key fob, outside TV replaced, and a few other little things.
There's a lot of things that are better than my Fuzion, heavy fiberglass covering around and behind pin box not flimsy plastic, screen doors much heavier, nicer bay doors and over all fit n finish. Chinese tires were a real problem on my Fuzion so the first thing I did was replace the Chinese tires with US Goodyear G614's and a tire pressure monitor.
I think you'll like it.

Had my '13 3905 since May 1st with only a couple of issues. We love it much more than our Fuzion!

RE: Tire minder vs tst 507. Any help in choosing

You are not going to get a answer. You will not find anyone that has had both and are able to give a reliable evaluation. All you will get is "I have xxx and it works fine". Not the answer to your question.
Jim
You're right Jim.
I've had the TST 507 for 3 months and 4 trips with no problems. Easy enough to set up too.

RE: Any creative ways to store you ladder?

I bought another set of ladder mounts with the intention of being able to mount the ladder behind my Raptor while I was traveling, and then being able to just move it over to the side while parked. I never did the install as I sold the Raptor before I got around to it.
I bought another set of mounts ($30 with shipping)and mounted them on the tailgate of my 3905. Ladder hooks nicely on the rear side rail of the roof mount and the mounts clear all the tailgate hardware. Takes about 2 minutes to move when I get to the camp or when loading the garage. I'm sure the tailgates are the same. I use my ladder after each trip doing a roof inspection. Rotted a 5er I had long ago due to roof damage.

RE: New to the forum, and to rving

Good luck with the Voltage. We love ours and have made 7 trips since May and love it. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2013 chevy dually because they've upped the GCWR by 7000# and all other weights up as well. Hope you enjoy!

RE: HELP! Ramp too high

I find level areas to load/unload. If I can't, I keep a 16" long 1x6 and 2x6 and put what's needed on the low side of the ramp. The height of the step on the race ramp allows it. I also tried the various "board ramp" set ups and this is much more stable and secure.

RE: HELP! Ramp too high

That is a great Idea but at $292 a pair I think i can build one out of plywood for under $25. I like the way it goes under the tailgate. Thanks for the idea.

My set only weighs 26# total. I couldn't see how I could've built a set as strong and as light. My car is a bit heavier than the bikes. Just throwing ideas out there. They are worth every penny to me.

RE: HELP! Ramp too high

I bought the 8" version of these to load my Saturn Sky in my 3905 Voltage. The tail gate rests on the ledge on the ramp. Also very light.

RE: Are the 2013 voltage any better than the 2011/2012's ?

Hi everyone,
We are looking to pull the trigger on a 3950 epic with full paint, etc...we are hoping we are are getting the best deal possible.
Without getting too specific, they offered about 75 out the door with warranty and all taxes fees etc.. Unit is 112k...
Are we getting or giving?
Sounds good for out the door. I paid a little more for my '13 3905 with 7% tax and 7 yr warranty.

RE: 2013 Voltage 3905 grey tanks

I boondock and camp at state parks with no sewer. I put an electric sewer gate valve between the drain pipe and the cap. I close it and open both grey tanks to double the shower capacity. Did the same thing on my Fuzion and works great.

RE: Are the 2013 voltage any better than the 2011/2012's ?

I have a 2013 3905 and I took delivery May 1st. Spent 10 nights in it so far. Only issue so far was 1 main slide motor was weak. The slide wouldn't close tightly on 1 side. New motor installed with no problems and all is fine now. I think the build and component quality is better than on my '08 362 Fuzion. I'd buy the Voltage again.
