RE: Air Conditioner Issue

Had that situation on our front A/C. Turned out to be a faulty thermostat.
Had it replaced and no more trouble.

RE: Medicare Advantage for Full Timers?

We full-time and both have Supplement plans thru AARP underwritten by United
Health Care. Have been in numerous hospitals in all parts of the US and have
never had a problem and all medical costs have been covered. Spent over 1
year in Florida being treated for colorectal cancer. Everything was covered
by Medicare and AARP Supplement. There were no co-pays or out-of-pocket costs
for us.

RE: How to plan??

We figure out an itinerary of our travels (full-timers) and then only make
reservations to cover the major holiday weekends. We very seldom travel more
than 200 miles in a day and we always stay a minimum of two nights when we
stop. Sometimes, depending on where we are, we make reservations for our next
stop a week or more ahead, or sometimes just a couple days. Before May 31 and
after Labor Day, reservations usually are not needed. Have never stopped at
a Walmart or Truck Stop.

RE: When Fulltiming ... Where to get a license and registration?

We have been with Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls, SD for going on 7 years.
Have never had any problem getting mail forwarded to wherever we are. SD registration for vehicles can be done on-line. At present drivers licenses have
to be obtained in person every 5 years. It is my understanding that soon even
these will be obtainable on line. Great state and very RV friendly!

Bathroom Sink Fixture Replacement

Faucet has developed a leak and when I began looking for the source,
I found that the threaded stems and nuts, and especially the large
washers had rusted. Washers were crumbling and was unable to get
the nuts loose. Looks like I will have to pull the basin to put in
a new fixture. What type of material is used as a sealant under
the basin when replacing? Appreciate the help.

RE: 62 be very very good to you mph

I try to keep mine about 57, especially if I can use cruisecontrol. We also
try to stay off Interstate highways. The views on the US and state highways
are much better and there is less traffic and speeding "nuts"

RE: Dash Air Conditioning

In hot weather our dash air does not do the job even with a full curtain behind
the driver and passenger seat. Start the generator and run both or one A/C.
This works miracles!

RE: Back up camera

I've fixed our camera twice--loose connection in back of monitor. Iguess
some of our nations despicable highways are too rough for back up cameras

RE: Slide won't come in-help

We just had the LR slide fixed on our 2005 GeorgieBoy. Shear Pin had broken
and motor would only spin--no slide movement. Had a local mobile repairman
came and fixed--took about 1/2 hour. We also have a manual override with a
crank handle.

RE: Should my AC empty condensor water to the roof?

We have small rain gutters on both sides of our 2005 GeorgieBoy. Water from
front runs to the passenger side front and the rear to the passenger side rear.
It handles both rain water and condensation water from the air conditioners

RE: Is a generator necessary?

We use our generator in hot weather while traveling. Dash A/C will not cool
enough and generator will run both A/c's if necessary. It also excercises
generator on a full load. We full-time and would not be without one.

RE: Flood! What now?

Check your insurance policy. We had a leak in the bathroom of our MH and
normal insurance policies for RV's do not include water damage. We filed
a claim but it was turned down.

We just had 4 new Koni Shocks installed prior to our leaving for
our summer travels. Extreme difference in ride and handling. Our
MH had 43,000 mi. with original equipment shocks.

RE: Changing a rear outer blowout on a Fleetwood 35' Pace Arrow

We blew two passengerside rear tires in 2011. Called Good Sam and they
dispatched a tire service within 1 hour. Service tech pulled both blown
tires, put on spare and one new one he brought with him. Service could not
have been better. You did not mention what the problem was with Good Sam.
We have used them on numerous occasions and never had a problem and have
always been satisfied with the service.

RE: Truly retiring?s

We have been full-timing since 2005, after I had a very serious attack of
congestive heart failure. I am diabetic, insulin dependent, and have gone
through colorectal cancer including chemo, radiation and surgery. I told
my wife I want to go on a hiking trail, pack on my back. At 75 I figure
I still have some good years left and intend to live them to the fullest.

RE: Stove Knobs - Accidental Pushing

We have been RV'ing for over 7 years and have never experienced anything
like this. Our knobs have to be pushed in and turned by hand. Also, we
never keep our oven pilot light lit. It, too, has to be pushed in before
ignition.

Koni Shock Absorbers

Am having trouble locating a source for Koni Shock Absorbers to put
on a 2005 GeorgieBoy Pursuit, with a Ford F-53 Chassis. Actually,
the chassis is a 2004. Would apreciate some help. Have been told
that Koni's are unit specific and may not be available for all models
of motorhomes. Any and all information will be appreciated.
