My wires do not match anything I have found on this net. The hunter connector block is E AUX Y G O L R B and C. My wires are 2 red, 2 blue, yellow, 2 gray, white, and purple. RE: Top of the World

You sure will be missing a trip of a lifetime if you don't drive the "top of the world". I hope you will reconsider.
Same here. We went over it . I won't say it wasn't rought, shook mirrors loose 2 times, but I'll never get to go back. So I've done it and don't regret it. MHO CharWan

RE: Don't receive signal to digital converter box

If you believe that you're close enough for a set of rabbit ears to work, try hooking them up to the converter box. See if that gets you anything. If so, then you have some kind of problem with the Winegard, or the cable from it.
Best answer yet. I was in a CG in L B L and had 3 stations and changed sites to get Sat. and lost the digal. You figure.

RE: 14 ga or 12 ga extension cord?

According to the Calculator
the voltage drop on a 50 ft. 14 gauge wire is less than that on 100 ft. of 12 gauge.
You should be fine.
bob people like you make me appreciate and enjoy reading here. You can always learn something. Some good person always has the right answer. Thanks CharWan

RE: How to get to the engine belts.

I assume the holes are to wire-tie the shroud back together with tie-straps. ?
On my 89 454, i was able to the alternator & belt from the top quite easily, although it does have dual 'smog' air injection pumps
Mr Wizard, The holes are made to line up the shroud and BOLT back into place.
I place 3-4 (1/4 X 20) 1 inch bolts into the shroud so later on down the road IF I need to get back underneath it's a 10 minute job to split the shroud for easy access on the rotating parts....
Jim
Best IDEA yet. MHO

RE: BatteryMinder is an impressive charger!! Test Results Here

I'm thinking of installing this on my MH when I get new Batteries. Where did you get this and how did you wire it in? I have two house and one chassis battery. Do you recommend removing the charge system from the converter or can it be done. CharWan

RE: Axle problems?

tires on the outside normaly wear faster than the inside tires. They are on the worst part of the hwy. Not saying you haven't a problem but also if axle is bent or out of aligment both tires wear equily. M2CENTS

RE: 50 to 30amp problems

Yes, wa8yxm they do make a single lever double pole breaker. I have never looked at one real close so don,t why they make it that way. It amazes me how people get 120 30 amp so mixed up and NO a shorted outlet won't trip the breaker in the MH it's up hill should have blown house breaker. My2cents

RE: Repair Cost(s)...2000 7.3 F450 vs F350 ??

I know you have 3 very good reports on this truck. We had one (2000) and it was very expensive to operate. MO its nothing like the 150 thru 350. All parts cost more. If I remember right ours had a solid frt. axle with leaf springs. I would never drive another. This is only my opion thou. CharWan

RE: Workhorse recall ...interesting..

Apparently the phenolic compound pistons swell some under certain conditions when there is some water present in the brake fluid.
Since the new parts are not expected to be widely variable until the fall (Oct or Nov?) I went ahead and flushed and replaced the brake fluid in mine a few weeks ago.
So far I haven't had brake problems and hope to keep it that way.
This is very TRUE. The phenolic pistons have caused trouble sense 76. Most of the time when you hear of someone having trouble is after they have replaced the pads. I had over 45k miles on mine when I replaced the frt. pads and then the trouble started. Not very bad but anoing. If you want it fixed replace the pistons with steel. Just what we have done sense 76. After all W/H said they would repay you if you have problems before the recall and pay to have them fixed. Thats what I intend to do. MOHO CharWan

RE: Replacing screws in corner and side channels - Ideas?

Yes. I have replaced many a wood screw by using elmers wood glue on the threads to hold them in. If your going into wood this would be the way to go. Use a water proof glue if outside. However I'd go with SS. I did this on all my outside screw on the MH.

RE: Replacing screws in corner and side channels - Ideas?

I think screws go in even #'s like 8 and 10 could be wrong. I would use SS and maybe silicon. MOHO CharWan
