RE: People who do nothing but complain

This thread while started in good humor has turned ugly and has created bad feelings with some. This was not my intent. It was to be a simple poll to show that campgrounds did not have near the problems that people have on the forum. I have asked the moderator to close it.

RE: It's that time of the year....dog complaints.

I started this thread. It is not directed at the dogs. It is directed at the irresponsible owners of those dogs. I like dogs but I don't think I should have to clean up after someone else's dogs. If you want to call it a complaint than I can live with that. If you say I am picking on dogs you are wrong. I think that some of you on this site need to get a life. All you do is sit behind the keyboard and make comments. If it does not pertain to you than move on. Remember you do not have to read whatever people post.I would not worry, I don't think many dogs read the forum. I don't think irresponsible dog owners are much brighter.

I have seen two people I know that were younger then I pass away this year. I don't think people realize how lucky they are to make it to retirement.

RE: It's that time of the year....dog complaints.

I love dogs. I don't especially like stepping in poo. I am also domesticated, but you wouldn't appreciate if I decided to squat on your lot and leave it for you to clean up. It's not about the dogs, it's all about the stinkin poo.Wouldn't have to dump your holding tanks very often.:R

RE: Remove Safety Chains

RE: Remove Safety Chains

Do you know someone that has a small air cut off tool? Or your hardware store should have a cutter for cutting bulk chain.

RE: People who do nothing but complain

Do you run into this at the campground or just on the forum? Is this a complaint? :SNo it's a question.

RE: People who do nothing but complain

Are you talking about that person and the dogs? Like the dog thread? Not really, some people there glass is always half full, others it's always half empty. I never herd as many disgruntled people at campgrounds as on the Forum. I wondered if others found it the same. That's why I asked Campgrounds or Forum. I can't imagine new people reading the forum and still wanting to RV.

RE: People who do nothing but complain

Do you run into this at the campground or just on the forum? Is this a complaint? No this is a Question. The correct answer would have been 1-campground or 2-Forum. I did not think this was that complex of a question, I was wrong. I did enjoy reading some of the answers.

RE: Got Hail last night, with Pics, Do I need to patch?

I seriously doubt that the rubber roof itself was hurt. Unless you can find cuts, or holes in it. Your fine. As to the vent covers. Easy fix. They can be replaced easily by you. And you prolly can find a Fridge cover at your loacal RV dealer. However. I would have an adjuster come out, and BOTH of you go over the sides, back, and front of the RV, AND the awning. The top is not the only thing that gets hit by hail.X2

RE: Elec tongue jack. Atwood, Barker or Bulldog?

I have a Barker on one trailer an Atwood on one and a UltraFab on an other. They all work fine but I like the Barker the best.

RE: Dealer hitch setup poll.... please respond

I think it depends on the dealer...if you get a good tech or seasoned guy who knows what he's doing vs having the lot boy do it.... When I bought this TT I told the dealer I was bringing my own hitch and my own tools and I would like to install it myself. He said "have at it" and left me alone on the lot to do my own thing. I wished it hadn't started to snow, that was a challenge....I did the same (without the snow) in the dealers lot. I also took off the electric Barker jack and put it on the new trailer and put the manual jack from the new trailer on the old one.

Talk about a price increase!

I went to get Mikko a refill of Doxy-Cycl HYCL and it went from $8.80 to over $200. I will call the vet tomorrow for something else.

RE: Campers Booking Right Next To You?

At the seasonal campground there is a person the rents an entire section (6 sites)in order to have there privacy. Very nice couple, just like there privacy.

RE: Buying Auction/Salvage RV's

I bought a 05 for guests/family to use at my seasonal site. I will have around 80 hrs in it when done. The salvage/rebuilt title will follow it forever. The purchase price was about half the value and I will have additional money for repairs/upgrades in it. You have to be very careful about hidden damage. I used the trailer rebuild for stress relief. I did not worry about resale since it was for others to use. I have seen some priced so high by the time you did repairs you could have bought a clean used camper for the same amount.
