RE: modifications for better towing

I use a 5 Star tune in my V-10 and it works wonders in all speed ranges...not just WOT. Big difference when towing. Just give Mike a call @ 5 Star...tell him what you have and what you want to do and he can set your tuner up the way you want.

RE: 2013 Laredo electric awning

I like my power awning for the convenience....push the button....and if kinda windy...use some tie down straps to anchor. If it gets too windy I just roll it back in.

RE: Cooper HT tires

Wow...wonder what has happened to Cooper tires? Have used these constantly on our state vehicles for years with no problems whatsoever.

RE: Betwn Sacramento - Redding - RV Park Recommendation/

Try Durango RV Park in Red Bluff. If a little further is good....there are quite a few along the freeway in Redding or a little further is Mountain Gate.

RE: HELP...BLACK STREAKS

I have always used Awesome Orange. On aluminum and fiberglass 5th wheels. Start off always diluted and worked up in strength of the product. Never left a dull finish and always waxed afterwards. Keep the roof clean and use gutter extensions and the black streaks go away.

RE: Water on Awning???

Most of the later Dometic electric awnings....you can get the tilt arm for free. It has to be gotten from a dealer and not Dometic itself. Got mine and took about 15 minutes to install.

RE: Spark Good, No Flame (Suburban Water Heater)

I had the same problem one time. Even bought a new gas valve(which I have and never used).....found it was the brown wire from the valve to the control board which had a small break in it and it took out the control board. Fixed the wire....used a friends board and it lit right off. Bought a new control board and worked fine ever since.

RE: Order of pulling gray H2O levers on Cougar 293SAB

Since the kitchen gray water is almost as nasty smelling as the black, I like to dump in the following order: 1 Black 2 Kitchen gray 3 Shower and bath gray. Doing it in this order gets the smelly stuff out of the hose. X2 I like the stinky slinky as clean as possible when I put it away. X3

RE: oxidation on fiver

And Bar Keepers Friend works great on the windows also. Takes off any water spots.

RE: What satellite does the Dish Tailgator lock onto?

What Sats does the Dish Tailgator lock onto? Western, Central States make a difference? Should be the western arc.

RE: Broke my TV torque wrench

I got my torque wrench at harbour freight. I guess I should be nervous. Me too! Have never had a problem with the ones I have bought @ Harbor Freight. Just got another one...1/2" drive for 9.99. Checked it the a snap-on and both were exactly the same reading. Also have a 1/4" drive from HF...works just fine.

RE: Awning care

Never had a problem with 3 different awnings on 3 different 5th wheels. I start at one end....spraying the awning from underneath...walking backwards....spray till you are done. Roll it up....20-30 minutes.....unroll......start spraying as you walk under the awning outwards. Never got anything on the 5th wheel....let it dry....looks like new. This works for me....but whatever works for anybody else is fine.

RE: Awning care

About 1/2 spray bottle of water....few good squirts of Dawn....1/4 bottle of bleach. Start at one end and spray the awning...work your way back till done. Roll it up. Much easier then rubbing with Magic Erasers. Did mine a few weeks ago after the winter rains and snow...came out looking like new.

RE: Awning care

Put some bleach and Dawn soap in a spray bottle........with some water. Spray the underside....roll it up and let it sit about 30 minutes...open back up and rinse off.....maybe heavier stain might take a little longer.

RE: How do you hook up your 5th by yourself?

With my RBW hitch....long bed/crewcab....I can see my hitch thru the back window and I use my rearview mirror. I have marks on my front jacks so they are set to just back under the hitch. Back in.....get out...check the bar to double check it is hooked up..check the lights and am ready to go.

RE: Liquid EPDM roof covering

I did my older 24' Aljo when it was 13 years old. Took a couple of days to clean and prep for what I used was Rubber Roof. Put it on and it looked like new.Traded it on a new 5ver about 3 years later and the dealer it was a brand new roof. Product was 60.00 a gallon thru Best Products. I was very happy with it.

RE: Waxing Filon

I have been using Nufinish on 3 different 5vers. Just did my Wildcat this past weekend. Have used the buffer also by hand. Never had any problems either way.

RE: Slideout seal/gasket

Had the same happen on my Wildcat...got it back up on the aluminum strip and used some construction adhesive on the inside...just a few spots every foot or so.
