Fix it. It it isn't rotten, to the best of your analysis, or moldy, live on. :)

RE: Feedback on Dealer? EBay

There is a larger dealership in Kerrville that I know of. What is their ebay feedback like? Usually those are pretty good indicators. Look what the people have bought. "Stalk out" the feedback people and see if they are "real" (like they have bought other things.
Check out to see what they left feedback for on that dealer.

RE: towing

Lots of variables. But the easiest I have found is a small vehicle, 4 down, tow bar. Something like a standard shift Totyota Yaris. You won't even feel it back there. Some people like an easy to operate tow dolly with a small car.
With a Yaris for instance and a tow dolly, you could probably even get away with just putting the lights on it. Brakes etc., blah because it's such a light car behind the mass of the RV.
But anyway, to your question there are tons of variables. What kind of weight cans yours tow?

RE: Don't Buy and Old Motorhome Unless...

Not me. I have to buy used because I'm not exactly rich... In reality, I'm just middle class. But I want to stay out of debt. So I buy old ones and fix em.

RE: Silicon sealant.. on roof

It can work, but let me give you some advice. It's very hard to get everything sealed just right. Fork over a few more bucks and get some edpm roofing stuff. Paint it on, and that seals everything.

RE: Thinking about a Class C. Anyone tow with theirs?

Hah, we have a Toyota with a 4 cylinder. Nope, we don't tow, but we go 55-60mph! :)

RE: Bounder 35K - Looking for Info

We use a bit of an older bounder and love it. Easy to work on, seems pretty general on parts. Don't know if this helps you, but hey, it's just .02 cents that I can add.

RE: Enclosed ATV Trailer

I'd tow something with good aerodynamics. Your coach is already probably dragging a lot... V nose would be a good option, or at least a trailer with lower height than your coach.

RE: consignment rv dealers

I think you can get good deals on those, but I always kind of like dealing with the original owner on their turf if you can. Otherwise I like dealing with a dealer that has a good reputation.

RE: How old is too old?

I think if you go old, go tiffin. Those seem to hold up pretty well through the years. The exeriors are kind of rough sometimes, but the interiors & funciton can run a while. But how old is too old? All depends on how handy you are and/or how deep your pockets are.

If you can't find a gasket, autozone sells a large roll of gasket material where you can make your own (if you want)

RE: Newbie - 1st time towing Car on Tow Dolly - Tips?

Yeah, that's definitely one, leave some slack on wires. Watch the road far ahead to time your stops better. It's a good idea too to consider a sports bra for the toad to protect from pebble dings.

RE: Full-timing with an infant

We have 5 children. I think it is 100% possible to do this without too much head ache. Simply get on your hands and knees, crawl around, and look at EVERYTHING from a babies perspective. Then you kid proof it.
Same as you'd do for a home.
Good luck & God bless

RE: Scan Gauge II

If you have an android device such as cell phone, tablet, etc. You may want to look into a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the odbII bus port. Then you can use an app called Torque that allows you to customize as many gauges as you like. The adapter available on Ebay for less than $20 and the Torque app which is $5 and your ready to go.
Agree completely. I have one I bought for $11 on Ebay, and it bluetooths with my android. Torque app $5. Full wireless setup was $16.

RE: E450 handeling problems

I'm going to be honest, there is a learning curve. Try not to white knuckle, and just relax as you drive. They sometimes can go all over the place, and you have to learn to compensate.
Once you have it down, you won't think much of it any more.
