RE: Camping near Hershey,Pa.

I would agree that if you want to stay close to Hershey use Highmeadow Campground, if you want to stay closer to Lancaster and plan to sightsee alot stay @ OldMill Stream Campground very good location to see all the sites and the help there is great they will make sure you know how to get to where you want to go.

RE: VALUE OF 2002 JAYCO 325 BHS

I would agree that working out a deal before the trade is the best way to go, but with all the different sites to see what some dealers are asking for units will give you alot of ideas to what price you can try to plan to pay.

RE: Seeking advice for damaged new trailer

I would still insist on the new unit but as many poster here have noted talk with the owner of the dealership but always stay calm I have this found out in our case that not getting to loud and working with them paid off in the long run. Once again good luck it getting things resolved.

RE: Seeking advice for damaged new trailer

I would push the dealer to insist that Forest River send you a new unit as it sounds like the unit was never right from the start. I bought a new Cedar Creek that was 1 week old and @ the dealer to have a warranty issue fixed and the lot person hit the side of the garge with it but I was lucky and the owner said to order a new trailer for us. It was not Forest Rivers problem but I have a great dealer.
I would stick with the dealer and hope he can get them to see that maybe they should improve their product or at least their quality, good luck and I hope things work out for you.

RE: Disney World during winter season and camp in FW?

We went between Christmas and New Years and yes it is a zoo but we had a great time in all the madness,we spent New Years Eve in the Magic Kingdom with 60,000 of our close friends (elbow to elbow). We would take a break and go to the different resorts to see how they were decorated. If you go over the hoildays go to the Grand Floridian and see the life size gingerbread house.

You will be happy with Friendship Village, when are you planning your trip to the beach? There is alot to do down there and also you could head up to De. for some tax free shopping at the outlets.

RE: central PA campgrounds

We have stayed @ Friendship Village before it is a nice campground, also not far off of the Pa. Turnpike if you are looking for a overnight stop. I saw you might be heading to OC Md. this would be a good stop as it is near where you will head down Rt 70 to head toward the ocean. On Fri nights during the summer you might hear the noise from the racetrack at the fairgrounds that might be the only negative I can think of.

RE: knoebels campground in pa

We also stay @ J&D large level sites with full hookup, justround do not put anything on the grass they get upset over that. I saw on another of your posts you have a little one have you tried Dutch Wonderland? If you try there use Old MillStream Campground right next door, another great campground

RE: handling a fifth wheel

There as been some great reading here, I feel like I have seen alot of you at the places we have been. Now I don't let the wife out of the truck till after I am in the site and off the road then I tell her where I want the back of the camper or the sewer outlet to be and then just tell me to stop. I also drive tractor trailer for work so this helps alot, the hardest thing I have been trying to do is to back up 2 trailers @ once ( they say you con not do it but I have seen some people that can) so for now practice practise practice.
Just remeber you bought your camper to have fun and relax, don't let backing upset you. happy camping

RE: Pennsylvania show, March 2010

mdcamperz, We went to the York show last year and I thought it was a nice show and they had more vendors there then most of the other shows. They have 2 bldgs and a shuttle that goes between them but it is not a far walk, also last year they had some units outside also.

RE: some guidance!

All good info so far, just remember it will track closer inside when you turn so swing wide, also on the height thing when you get off the main roads also watch for low tree branches they can do major damage to your unit, I heard of one guy who removed his a/c unit said he never heard a thing. This was on a brand new Jayco on his 1st trip.
