You aren't gun people......
You didn't need it when living in your S&B Home.
Why now that you are going full time?
Taking a safety class and training is a great idea BEFORE purchasing.
BUT are you going to go to gun ranges and maintain/improve your gun skills?
IF not.....why get the gun?
I grew up with guns, competed in shooting competitions, go to a range routinely and I would still caution folks on getting a gun.
Having one is a big responsibility.
Should you get one????????
This is the most responsible post regarding guns I have ever read on this forum. THANK YOU!
To have a gun is a PERSONAL DECISION.. No one can tell you to have or not too. Not on here, and not by the government. You yourself have to decide if you want the peace of mind of having something to fall back on in the rare case you may need it. You alone are responsible for your family as well as you for protection. If someone is hell bent on doing harm, it is reassuring that you have the means to protect what is yours. On the otherhand, if you don't think you want to use deadly force and be at the mercy of whomever, that is up to you...
TO THE OP... GO tow with one then ask the question....Trains use Diesels, so do truckers, busses, fishing boats, ... To the guy who says it won't catch on with non commercial use, ever hear of a Mercedes Benz or a VW TDI that gets 52mpg??? DUHHHHH
Like many here, I hate to have my truck "dinged" in a parking
lot.... as such, I usually park in the "North 40" of any parking
lot I inhabit. Do not mind the hike into the store even in the
low 120's (lie). But, we have a phenomenon here that no matter
how far out I park , when I return to my Truck, sure enough,
right next to me sits a 4 door truck panel chipper. Just to test
my theory... last week... put my sun shade up, and sat in the
truck...in less then 5 minutes some Romeo and Juliet in a miniature
Datsun with a fart pipe pulled up right next to me , blown bass
speakers just a vibratin'... honestly, 75% of the lot was empty....
Does this only happen in Arizona ???
I had the SAME ISSUE with my Restored 55 Chevrolet Nomad.. I would park away from EVERYONE and sure as sht, some Jack Ass would park right next to it...
This is my second time rescheduling to pick up our new camper. I'm getting quite tired of this weather! :M Things better improve dramatically by next Tuesday.aRRRRRGGGGGG here too...Snow this morning...grrrrrrrrrrrr
If you are 100 percent positive you won't EVER get a different Trailer, then get the CHEAPO.... However, if there is a slight chance of changing the Trailer, get a big truck. You can even go with a used Diesel.. Difference in 3/4 to 1 ton is Carrying Capacity and Ride.... Ride in a 1 ton is harder than the 3/4 ton..
I could be wrong but I believe we have a member here ( Cummins12V98 maybe) who pulls a MS 5er. His GCW is like 26-28k and he has 3.42's and the HO engine.
Anyway I haven't heard of any big problems with the tranny or axles. So his trailer has a weight of 20,000 lbs plus???
Have you done a search here yet? There must be a hundred posts about that stuff. Mose say buy it from the despensing pump at large truck stops. If he did a search, I don't think he would be asking, do you?.
