RE: How much is too much?

Sounds like you were on I-10 between Kerville and Junction :). My 6.7 will down shift from 5th to 4th on those steep hills. I have to take the cruise off going down hill or it will down shift to maintain the preset speed - which is annoying. Not sure about your question though, I'd think let it purr.

RE: 5th wheel water heater

Make sure your water heater bypass is in the correct position. This could be why you are not getting hot water. Also make sure your out door shower valves are turned off, not just turned off at the shower head. The bypass valve bit us, brand new trailer - no one ever accessed the bypass after taking delivery . Bypass was found to be open on first trip this year - never a hot water problem last year ??? Strange valve to find open whe it was tight to close- not a floppy valve at all. But this doesn't sound like your issue, but who knows- it just might be.

RE: What's the trick to cleaning black tank level indicators

Great comments and advice everyone. I just ordered the clear fitting and will live with the level lights not working and not sweat it. For the most part The state parks in Tx don't have full hook ups, so I do have to sweat the level rising some of the time. I always add a couple gallons of water and treatment after each time the black is emptied.

What's the trick to cleaning black tank level indicators

I've used the black tank flush fitting built in on the trailer for 20 minutes each time after dumping black. I've tried adding a level of clean water before towing so it can slosh around in transit and then dumping when we get there- still no dice. Sometimes I see two red lights sometimes three- when I know it's empty. What the trick on making these read true? Do I need to buy the back flush clear fitting they sell at wallyword and use it?

RE: Rubber Roof Treatment

Mild soap? Can I use the same automotive soap with wax I use on the side or should it be more like a dilute soap- of some sorts, say dish soap?

RE: Outdoor fridge control

Mine was behind it on the backside. I had to use a flashlight and a mirror to adjust it.
