RE: Printer problems

If you are using a non new HP cartridge (remanufactured or refilled) the printer will tell you the cartridge is low. Usually you can tell it to print anyway.
It is illegal for the printer maker to make you use their cartridges. Your warenty for the printer itself is not affected by fderal law. Any damage from a bad third party cartridge is the responsibility of the third party.

RE: Dish network keep alive

Why not carry a receiver that is in use from the home and use it in the RV? If you want, you can fill out the paperwork to have "distant networks" to allow you to get network shows even where there is no local station for that network.
I believe that is what most do. Otherwise, Dish has a program that allows you to turn on and off service for those that only use the service for the RV. You do call on the turn on and off, but you know that is part of the packing for RVing.

RE: Kodak printer vent

I have had great long term use out of printers - if you buy the office grade. they cost more! I also use remanufactured cartridges as the ones for home use are expensive and tend to be smaller so they empty faster. By the way, the cartridges in a new printer are frequently not fully filled so they can get you to start paying them for the profit from the printer.

RE: Winter travel?

We have traveled and camped in the winter for several years. The modern Mhs with heated bays work well in moderatly cold weather and even for short termreal cold spells when the furnace is used for heating. Many people get into trouble by using electic heat to save propane.
the advice about usin onboard water and only conecting sewer hose when dumping is the reasonable way to go. Obviously, you must drive to accomodate the weater and road conditions. Make sure you have sweaters and etc. to keep comfortable and go for it!
