I have always gone along with the thinking of if you have to worry about what it's going to cost for fuel, you don't need to have a camper. With what you have invested in a truck and what ever kind of rv fuel is the least of the worries to me..JMHO
I have had my 2004 for 6 years and it has been a pretty good truck. I had to put a injector mod. on it and that's been it for the 155k miles. The owner before me pulled a 5th wheel with it and serviced it on time every time and I do the same. Oil and fuel filters are not cheap, but cheaper than a new eng. If you are not going to use your truck for towing heavy load or carring heavy loads then buy a gas burner. I use mine to haul my TC but still would not get rid of it because of the extra expense of operating it.
As another 'big guy' kinda tight........see what you mean.

Well when you get a bunch of guys at the races in that thing and sharing that bath it's a joke. We've had as many 8 stay in the camper and everyone knows your business right off if you know what i mean. It would be very easy to bump that wall out. Go for it..It just doesn't make sense why the company would do such a thing. I have a TC and have that much room!
I've been to Florida quite a few times the last couple of years and was really trying to find something different. I really like the panhandle area and will go there if I can't find some place new...thanks for the replys Lynn,
Carol, and Montecarlo
I am wanting to come down and find some warm weather for a couple of weeks the first part of December. I lived in Kingsville for 18 months when I was in the Navy and it was always pretty nice weather year round..How far north can I stay and still have some decent temps. this time of the year?
I have a F250 with a Lance 855 and had to use a finder mount for my firestick app 6 inches towards the front of the veh. from the rear edge of the hood. That gives me about 3-4 inches clearance to the front of the camper. I had to use a short ant. for my am/fm radio.
