RE: Harbor frieght tow bar
Hello,
I use a HF towbar 5000# rating to tow my toyota pu with no problems what so ever. brackets are attached directly to the frame at front tow hook locations. (my particualr application). Maybe its not a name brand but it is more than rated for my little truck, works well and didnt break the bank.

RE: Wa. RV`S
Hello all you fellow "Rusters". Puyallup here. We finally have our new to us 2006 Seneca 34 HD SS. Whew its almost as long to type as it seems in length. Took it out over Mem. weekend for first trip. Everything went great, well except a couple of dum bell learning curves for me. Which I am sure most of you will go well duh you knucklehead!
The precurser statment to follow, "Long time tent and tent trailer camper with primitive stuff"
1: The fridge is not a good thing to leave on Auto setting when then inverter is also on, batteries don't like that.
2: When you each up and pull down day/night shades in the middle of the night after you closed the window, "Don't pull both at the same time!"
Other than that, AWESOME and nice to meet ALL of you

RE: New to me Seneca
Congratulations on your purchase. You are an experienced RV’er so you don’t need me to tell you that you should take the time to check out the rig. I would not let the sales person talk you into abbreviating your inspection process because “you can bring it in anytime you find a problem during the warranty period.” This is the last opportunity that you will have the sales person’s undivided attention.
I would not freak out over defects typically associated with a gently used RV such as stains and scratches. However, I would definitely make an issue out of signs of water damage and broken appliances.
My wife and I have owned a 2009 Jayco Seneca 34SS for seven months now and we have enjoyed it. It had a couple of minor defects when we picked it up, including a chip on the windshield, but all is fine now. We haven’t added anything to it and I enjoy driving it. When I drive between 55 and 60, passing trucks and strong gusts of wind do not push the vehicle. I am considering installing the Safe-T-Plus as protection against a blow out on the front axel.
If your Seneca is like mine, you will enjoy it. I’m not the type to be showy but I have grown fond of the praise and attention my Seneca gets from fellow campers. With full body paint you will most certainly attract lots of attention from admiring camp neighbors.
Thanks for the info, I will take my time doing the intial walk thru.
and am looking forward in learning more from all the members on the site.

RE: New to me Seneca
Hi Doug,
Is it new or used? If used, we would need to know what the previous owners installed on it. I have the 2008 Seneca 34SS and did install a Safe-T-Plus and Koni HD Shocks. That is all I have done and the coach drives like a pickup for me. My wife drives it and loves how it handles.
Hi, It is used but in fantastic shape, I will include a link to the posting: and as I find out more of the specifics ill get that on here.
