RE: Truck camping on othe beach

I have never camped on the beach and I might never, but I was wondering. Would chains (as in chains you put on your tires when it snows) improve your traction on sand?
no , you need to 'float' in the sand ..
hard packed sand is not the norm in the northeast ....
i've been on the beach from cape cod to cape lookout , always had to air down

RE: Repairing inner walls behind rear tires w/pics

take an ice pick , stick it in the wood and see how solid it is ..
the wings are just junk 'white wood ' covered in luan plywood .
believe me ; i had to replace the wings on both my campers ...
and seen the same thing on a lot of others ...
also pull the center rubber strip on the curved aluminum trim strip . take out a few screws on the bottom of the wing and see if they are rusted .

more than likely you have wood rot there ...
it is probably the framing too that is rotted .
tear it apart and rebuild :(
