RE: Delaware or Alum Creek SP in Ohio?

Delaware is a nicer park, however Alum is also nice. We go to alum alot because we keep our boat docked on the lake plus its just 15 minute drive from our home. Both are nice.

Single axle trailer HTT - blocking wheels

Does anyone have a good recomendation for blocking the wheels on a single axle trailer HTT. My trailer seems to want to move around more than I think it should. I have seen double axle blocks that seem to work good, but I need something good for single axle. Thanks

RE: Leak

Here is my theory on fixing leaks - assume everything seam is leaking and recaulk on a regular basis - to get a good caulking seam do the following - use paint masking tape to create nice edge lines - then lay down the caulk, smooth it out and remove the tape - it will look like factory if done properly.

RE: Motor home catches fire, damages Henderson house

Back in 1982 I set my car on fire working on the carb.....That will make you come alive - I found a bag of sand in the garage and buried the fire in sand - then of course that created another mess but at least my car wasnt totaled.

RE: Frige wont stay lit

Thanks for the help - The fridge is working now. I did purchase a new spark electrode - I also charged the battery overnight - It has to be one of those two items, because its now working - hopefully this series of post will help someone else who has the same problems.

RE: Frige wont stay lit

I have a nordic 6162 - I don't see anything near the flame except the igniter. How close to the flame would a thermocouple be if it were separate from igniter?

RE: Frige wont stay lit

Is the thermocouple also the ignitor? Looks like they run about 25 bucks.

RE: Frige wont stay lit

Just tried the fridge with the electric plugged in - same problem - the gap for the thermocouple looks ok - Is there a way to test the thermocouple?

RE: Frige wont stay lit

I cleaned out the propane jets and got rid of rust in the tube - the flame coming out is either clear or blue - the igniter/Thermocouple turns red from being close enough to the flame. Is the thermocouple a fairly inexpensive replacement part? Are the thermocouple and igniter one and the same?

RE: hot water heater doesn't turn on

This is what appeared to fix the hot water heater - I cleaned the igniter with steal wool - put it back together and it worked. Thanks for the help.

Frige wont stay lit

I have a fridge that lights for about 15-20 seconds then turns off - the igniter turns red when the flame is lit - any ideas on what to look for? The fridge works fine with electric - and I think if the gas stayed lit it would run fine. Thanks for any ideas.

RE: hot water heater doesn't turn on

Thanks for the replies - I have gotten this far - the unit will light up for about 20 seconds then it turns off - it has a decent flame. It is still clicking while the flame is lit. Then it turns off and the red light comes on inside. It sounds to me like it thinks the gas is not lit - so it turns off for safety - but in reality the gas flame is good.

RE: hot water heater doesn't turn on

Mine is gas - I did not see a flame after I turned on the switch? Not sure what to look for.
