RE: fuel filler hose cost??

I had mine replaced 2 years ago in Leesburg, fl. I forgot the price of the hose, but it was quite expensive. 1 1/2" fuel line is not cheap, and the prices are always cheaper online.:B

RE: Help, Electricalmproblem

I had the same problem. I was using a compressor plugged into my exterior outlet to put air in the front tire. The compressor quit and I had no power on that side of the MH. Checked the breaker and it had tripped.
The compressor is just too much draw for the 15A breaker.:S

RE: the worse built motorhome you can think of

To the OP:
If, as you say, you have owned buses or motorhome since you were 29, then you should have a good idea on what the answer is, unlesss you are 30. What is cheap and terrible is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has an opinion on what make a great motorhome. I would also think that every manufacturer has had their ups and downs. :B

RE: As requested, Red Max Pro instructions

Instead of using a microfiber cloth, I used a piece of an old worn out flannel sheet folded into a pad and a spray bottle. Be careful that you do not get any overspray on your glasses.:B

RE: rolling stones - if we dont, we're gonna blow a 50 amp fuse

If you don't have enough power for every gadgets, just put an alternator on your bicycle and pedal like heck. Bonus is that you also will lose a few pounds and your DW will be pleased.

RE: Changing a rear outer blowout on a Fleetwood 35' Pace Arrow

I forgot to add that it cost me $210.00 for the tire. Everything else was covered by Good Sam.

RE: Changing a rear outer blowout on a Fleetwood 35' Pace Arrow

We had a blowout on the inner rear left tire on I-75 northbound in Georgia. No way was I even going to attempt to change myself even if I had a spare. I called Good Sam and they said it would be about 1 hour before the tire guy arrives. No big deal. I was in a safe location, would make coffee, have a sandwich, and wait. The chap showed up in 45 minutes. 15 minutes later I'm on the road again. Good Sam have never let me down. Sometimes patience is needed. We are not the only ones on the road at any given time.

RE: Replacing leaking rubber roof with PVC roof

Apparently a rubber roof is preferred here, but you already have made your decision to go with PVC. Good luck with it.

RE: I-PAD

Just be sure that your Ipad has the google version of maps. The apple version is not worth the plastic it is in.

RE: No propane to anything

to Branman1971 : I'm glad you found the problem and fixed it. Isn't heat nice? I also want to thank you for posting your question and also for coming back with the resolution. I have learned something today, especially with the 12 volt shut off system. Thanks again and happy RVing.

RE: How low of a temp is safe

If the temperature is going to be in the upper 20's, you will be ok. With temperatures in the low 20's, use a light bulb in the wet compartment. Temperatures in the teens need a different approach. Turn on the furnace if you have heated compartments. If not you can either drain the lines or use a northern Canada trick. If your water is connected to the house system, open the taps a bit so that you have a trickle of water coming out. Running water does not freeze easily. :B

RE: No propane to anything

Glad to hear that you have found the problem. May I suggest that you locate the shutoff valve to the tank. This is for safety and your peace of mind.:)

RE: No propane to anything

This may sound like a dumb question, but how do you turn off your propane when going through some tunnels or crossing on a car/truck ferry. I often take a ferry called the "Chi-Cheemaun" in Ontario and they will visually check that your valve is off and tag it. I always thought that a propane tank was equipped with a shut off valve.

RE: IN Hurricane Sandy - dump air, jacks down?

I agree with sprintmod1. Put the rear into the wind. A kick in the butt is less painful than a kick in the face.
My prayers are with you and everyone else who are in the storm's path. Keep safe and let us know after the storm how you made out.

RE: Might be in Hurricane Sandy's path

If you can get out, do it now to be on the safe side. CBS says that they are calling for a "Frankenstorm" for NJ and New York into Ohio. Anything north of North Carolina is on the possible hit list.

RE: Barnacles?

I had some just above the windshield. Difficult to remove, but I used Magic Erasers and voila, gone. Actually, I used the Magic Erasers on most of the coach and then applied Red Max Pro. That seems to prevent the stuff from returning. :B:)

RE: Tiling the shower ~ hassle or easy DIY?

I would remove the shower pan (gently) and see where it is leaking. Repair the leak, or have a pro do it for you. Re-install and check and double check your caulking work.
If you decide to tile the pan, be aware that it is a big job. You should have a mortar base, a rubber membrane, a top coat, and finally the tiles.
