Well we're home and drying things out;)Hope everyone else had safe uneventful trip home. Boy was the weather not in our favor this past weekend. Rain, wind, cool temperatures ..:( We want to thank all you brave hearts that came and stayed for the whole weekend. You all are GREAT. Thank goodness for the picnic shelter so that we could at least gather for meals. Todd and Susan it was great that you joined up with the group, sorry you had the mishap of the blowout on the way up. Mary glad someone won a little at Cherokee :C Mark, Janice, Jan, Jerry and Mary really enjoyed the wine tasting outing :W Until the next outing. Kim and Pat

Tortillas(flour) sour cream and avacados are still on the need list.
Any one hear from Lepp100 are they going tobe able to make this trip?
GTRGTC we're going to try and get there wednesday won't know for sure till tuesday late afternoon.

As fellow campers to the group has stated"everyone and anyone is welcome." So I use the montra "the more the merrier.":C
A little more than 2 weeks till camping!!:B Since Cinco de Mayo is sunday 5/5 are you all up for doing a Cinco de Mayo fare for saturday night? If so we'll take care of the meat maybe carne asada and chicken? We'll need sides: flour tortillas,sour cream,shredded cheese,diced tomatoes and onions,avacados..
Friday night Grab-N-Growl: JakesJaunts:7 later bean dip,Queso dip and chips.
Saturday breakfast: JakesJaunts: Coffee pot,2 dozen eggs and cantelope.
Saturday dinner: JakesJaunts: Carne Asad/chicken, dessert Tres Leche cupcakes.

Since sunday of our Mocassin Creek camping is May 5th(Cinco de Mayo)

The park is now open for the season and it's time to make your reservations if you are planning on attending the May 3rd-5th Roaming RVers Rally. http://www.gastateparks.org/MoccasinCreek
Moccasin Creek SP is located in Clarkesville,Ga on Lake Burton. There are nice walking trails, the lake where you can rent canoes or bring your own kayak or canoe, a fishing pier* for seniors and children only.*

Thank you Jerry and Mary and Gerald and Sharon for a very nice Rally at Veteran's Memorial. We always enjoy this park and the barbecue and brunswick stew saturday night were great.Sorry about Jerry's truck mishap. It was good to see all the regular "Roaming Rvers," Kit and Kathy glad you were able to make it out with the group again.
Sherry and Paul sorry you both were under the weather but glad to see you made it while on your travels from Michigan -what troopers!
It was great to finally meet Wannavolunteer FT- !!! We enjoyed meeting and camping with you and hope are group's future trips south of Atlanta will have you joining us on future camping outings.
Mike and Candy you were missed.:(

Hi all - We'll be heading out thursday so hope to be there by 2 pm.(That's if Kim can get home wednesday night from Chicago because of the already expected snow and flight cancellations:E)
Saturday morning with the pancakes,biscuits and breakfast caseroles and such coming I'll change and bring bacon with the coffee instead of the french toast.

If you can't make Veterans Memorial in March. We are hosting May at Mocasssin Creek just inside of the Georgia boarder close to the Carolina boarder. (A few hours closer for you to travel.)

Glad to have seen all of you that made it to this the first Rally of 2013. Steve,Mel and Luke,it had been to long soo glad you made it. Cathy and Kitt enjoyed reaquainting with the 2 of you and hope to see you at Veterans Memorial in March. Luis sorry you had tire trouble and we're unable to make it.
John and Judy thanks for hosting -Reed Bingham is a really nice campground and for the first part of February the weather was pretty nice. Sunny and low wind during the day that allowed us to be outside,visiting,playing cards, walking and bike riding. Oh and lets not forget the fun excursion for those of us that made it to the wine tasting :Bjust down the road at "Wild Horse Winery." Hope everyone made it home safe and sound?

Our group is the Roaming RVers. We plan 5 Rally type outings a year and several of us will get away on "impromtu" trips. We have folks from Rosewell, Loganville,Conyers,Hampton,Mcdonnough and even down @ Augusta. A few times a year we are joined by camping buddies from Michigan and Florida. Check out our post for our first trip of 2013.February Rally is Feb. 1st-3rd at Reed Bingham SP. Anyone is welcome.
