RE: Summer Road Trip

As a single dad of a 13 yr old girl, I have taken her camping since she was three every summer for 5 weeks. My goal was to have her see all the state capitials by 16 and we now can say we have seen them all. I asked my daughter what she wanted for christmas this year and she said she wanted to rent an rv and go back to Oregon so that we are doing this summer. We hit the east coast last summer Last summer we started off in Biingham AL to TN SC NC up the coast to Virgina Beach, into Delware and took the Cape May Ferry accross to NJ then drove to Liberty Harbor. From there we went to Hershey, Lancaster, Gettysburg, then to Hocking Hills Oh which had a great zipline place. Here are some spots to consider: Horse New bern nc home of pepsi. The Koa is really nice there Charleston S.C Fort Sumter. Stayed at James Island State Park. Great place across the street is water park and the ocean is not far. We go to the Smokies a lot and stay in Townsend TN. Ghost tours In VA these were some interesting things we saw drive in Natural Bridge VA is interesting natural bridge If you go to the VA, NY area may want to get an easy pass makes life a lot easier

RE: Stopover between Little Rock AR and Arlington TX

I use to stay at the tree tops by now the koa Great people run both but I like the Koa a little better. There is a secure gate and its a well laid out camp ground cant go wrong w either. Just left there construction has gotten a lot better on I 30 and Jerrys World is a really cool place. I noticed a lot of tailgaters at the Koa over tree tops because I think there are more seasonal people at Tree tops just my imho. Also, I stay a lot in Texarkana at the Koa really like it there as well. I travel alone and tend to stay at the same places over and over based on serve not price Also, nice thing is you can take cooper all the way up to Randall turn right and your there. But theres traffic traffic and lights!

RE: hwy 69 thru Oklahoma

I take that route all time going from st louis to FT worth. No problems, in fact there is new koa that opened near the casino in OK I now stop at. Also, you may want to look at taking 69 to 82 west then 35 south I found this a lot easier then going to 121. 82 is in Sherman
