RE: Happy but not happy!

The one suggestion that other people gave us.. Which has helped.. Is to make sure your trailer is very level to the tow vehicle which makes the bars go in a little easier.. And also allows you to leave your unit hitched if you are just stopping for the night.

RE: Noisy Water Pump

We have put some "space foam" between the pipes and wherever they are rubbing... it has helped a bit.

RE: Can someone help me solve this boler electric plug problem?

Hi, It may be cheaper to change the connector to a standard 30 amp RV type male plug--that way you can use inexpensive cords from Walmart. Can you change to a 30 amp RV type plug.. if the lights inside are originally made for the old 15 amp plug?

Can someone help me solve this boler electric plug problem?

I have a boler trailer I have just received. It is missing the electric cord to plug in the lights etc. inside. here is a photo of the outside of the trailer where the cord is supposed to connect. Can anyone tell me about this plug? Is there a name for this kind of outlet? Is there a way I can buy a replacement cord or have one made? Any help would be appreciated... http://mycoolcampingcaravanadventures.blogspot.ca/

RE: Town inspector wants trailer moved back 20 feet

We had a nightmare vacation a few years back where we had travelled to a lakeside town about 1500 miles from home in order to rent a lakeside cottage. We pulled into our parking spot with our vehicle and camper which we had used on the 1500 mile journey. The owner of the rental started freaking out because the town has an ordinance of no trailers parked in yards. We had already given them $1200 for the cabin and would lose that unless we could get rid of our trailer for the week. it was a total nightmare.. and of course the people renting the cabin did not say anything in advance. Sometimes things regulations are really taken too far...

RE: bought an "as Is no warranty" camper with water damage

My husband and I own an auto dealership. We have an unwritten policy that if someone comes back to us with in the first 30 days of their purchase with a "surprise" issue, we will generally cover the cost of fixing it. The cost of advertising is thousands of dollars per month... and a happy customer who tells his friends, is worth more to us in advertising than any ad we can buy. So I agree with the posts that say.. Go back and ask for a repair... years maintanence, parts sales, labour and service work are also part of what the dealership could be losing if they do not take care of their customer...

RE: Before/ after photos. countertop extension and shelving MODS

So you just drew the screws into 1/8" interior panel in the closet? The support boards in the closet are primarily held with the panel adhesive. The screws are actually just the back up... Panel adhesive is incredibly strong... In fact I accidentally put one of my back trim pieces on a tiny bit crooked, but did not realize this until the panel adhesive was dry. Well... even after repeatedly hitting the board with a hammer, and trying to pry it out with a screw driver I was unable to move it. I would probably need a pry bar and would destroy the whole panel in order to get that piece of wood off. I wouldn't use it to make a bed support but it is definetly strong enough for shelves in a clothes closit. Many experienced RVers recommended it to me, and so fora it has worked great in all our campers...

RE: Jack Knife Couch

Buy a section of space foam. Cut it into a V shape with an electric knife or bread knife. Space foam adapts to contours really well. We have used space foam a number of places in our camper. Then cover this with a 1-2 inch thick foam bed topper. It should do the trick..

RE: Before/ after photos. countertop extension and shelving MODS

Why is it RVs always look like they were decorated by staight men? I think thats because they are! I have had a few men telling me that they are hiding my blog from their wives.. because they don't want them to know whats possible.
