RE: 1990 Elite Luxury Coaach

I just saw one of those this past weekend. It has been in inside storage for the last 2 years and except for the obvious dust and slight musty smell it was very nice. It was a gas pusher and about 35 or 36. It was also parked next to a pratically brand new Country Coach. They've come along way. We didn't get into great depth except a walk thru.

RE: Easy Outdoor Dutch Oven Recipes?

After looking on Bryon's site last year I acquired a second DO. Now one for the main meal and one for an Artisan bread baker with dinner.

RE: Jayco, what does the dealer know that I don't know?

Do they have to order the Jayco while there's Montana's sitting on the lot?

RE: Door Glass on carriage 5th.

Easy fix. In my 07 Cameo ther are actually pins in the bottom of the frame that hold the glass in place. Could be yours dried and broke off. Reset it with butyl tape or pick up a new frame if the pins are broken.

RE: Walmart, Internet on the Go

I have a direct Truconnect account which is what Internet on the go is. It uses the sprint & t mobile networks and is fine for the basics. Since it runs on 3G it's not for streaming movies of heavy data work. For us it works for e-mail and basic web surfing. We use it at home and on the road with the wi-fi device. We pay by the mb's used and it usually runs us about $10. to $15 a month. It's definately not for the power users.

RE: Lincoln Navigator as a TV

Our friend had an older Navigator and was pulling a 32' Sunline for a couple of summers. I didn't check his weights but he claimed it towed great.

RE: Aluminum one piece roof leaks,,

My brother has an old 86 Shasta Motorhome with a roof like yours. We put some Eternabond directly where the most corrosion was then coated the whole roof with this then cool sealed over the top for good measure. Seems to be working.

RE: Any one else need a hard hat in their RV ??

Have been considering a bump cap since we got the 5er 6 years ago. Then I forget until I have to hook it up and reset it. Last saturday walked into kingpin then walked under the front to avoid the pin and forgot the bedroom slide was out and stood up into that. Later opened the compartment door under the slide and when I was done stood up into the compt door. Then I was sitting at the picnic table by my other open compt door and the wind blew it closed right after it beaned me on the top of the head. :S OOOh that hurts. Next time I'll let the DW set the dumb thing up. :B

RE: Sprint mobile broadband?

Walmart's Internet on the go uses the sprint network with Truconnect. I use Truconnect and I've been happy with the service. Your not going to stream movies though 3G isn't that fast.

RE: Furnace kicking in over heat pumps

My Carrier will stay on heat pump down to about 40 deg. The the system automatically switches to tothe furnace. We often go to bed with the heat pump on and wake to the furnace. Keeps us warm. :)

RE: New Jersey campgrounds

Beachcomber is a nice park. A little pricey but nice sites. Also Oceanview is a huge park and located near Lake In Shore. Lake N Shore is an Outdoor World campground and not bad. They have however put in a ton of seasonal sites. We actually will be there for a the week before Memorial day. After Memorial day the beach is a zoo.

RE: They will steal anything

We unfortunately had the reverse happen several years ago. We had a popup in the yard behind a fence. Someone must have been watching because we took off with the camper and they emptied the house. There's just no excuse for thievery.

RE: Trying to find a better way around Washington DC

I usually do the same as Flying R. We run from Lebanon 81 to Winchester then pick up 17 to Frederick and then get back on 95. It may be longer but it's a nice ride and relatively light traffic.

RE: Backing into position to hitch a trailer: (Need tips.)

I always used a spot on the reaview mirror with a spot on the TT front. For how far back I looked with the door open then moved back an equal distance. Experience and Practice was key and now cameras appear to have solved the problem. For my 5er I just look out the rear window.
