RE: Toy Hauler Ramp

If the 2012 XLR's are the same as the previous years, there should be no problem with the existing ramp unless you are loading something with less than 3" of ground clearance. I have a friend that loads both a HD Ultra and a Honda GL1800 into his 2011 XLR at the same time with no problems.

RE: What was your first car?

1868 Buick GS 350. Came with a hole in #3 cylinder. Dealer replaced the short block and added a Crane cam and all the associated valves, lifters, etc.
We added a Hurst mystery shifter to it and heavy duty clutch. It was probably one of the few GS350's that was stick shift. A stick was the norm in '68 with the automatic being the option. It would take on the Chevy SS on a regular basis.

RE: Best Wax for Brand new TH

X2 on the Protect All. I use it on 2 motorcycles, 1 car, 1 TV and the 5er for over 5 years now. It goes on easily and wipes off with very little effort.

Seeing that you are in Fox Lake, run over to Island Lake and pick up one of these hoses..

RE: Lug Nut Torque

When torquing the lug nuts, remember it should be done in 3 stages. First stage is 1/4 of the final, the second is 1/2 of the final with the third being the final specification. Also never just go around in a circle. Use a criss/cross pattern. I have seen many a drum warped by using the wrong procedure and pattern.
Dexter has a good manual on their site that has more information about axles and all the related parts.

RE: Dutchmen Voltage

Our 2011 V3200 has had no major or minor problems. We have put well over 5000 miles on it so far with only one tire problem, valve stem failed. As with all mechanical units, there will be units that have problems, and the OP has managed to get that one unit that has multiple problems. If it as bad as the OP indicates, they should check into the lemon law in their state and see if it can help.

RE: 3905 and LED lighting?

The Voltage has puck lights which are halogen and the replacement LED's are G4 Halogen Replacements LEDs.

RE: Yet another nose-high towing question- Voltage 3905

That setup looks pretty level from your picture. I would not worry about it.

RE: Diesel Owners,Your Opinion PLease!

agesilaus - You might want to check the side of your truck. There is a badge on my 2012 F250 which is probably also on your F350 with a B20 logo. This means that Ford has built the 6.7 to be able to use up to 20% bio.

RE: New Toy Hauler Company- Talvor Recreation Vehicle,

I think that location was the Rage'n plant which WW bought from National RV before they went out of business.

RE: Quality Toy Hauler

I will put a second vote in for the Voltage 3200. Ours is a 2010 and still running well. The new versions have some upgrades that I wish I had, but we really have had no complaints about the quality, etc of the Voltage.

RE: Manually cranking the slides/jacks on a '05 Crossroads TH

You might get a better response if you included the year, make and model of your unit. With the number of units out there, and the number of folks on this forum, you probably will get something that will help, if only you update the post with year, make and model.

Multiple Memberships with Multiple Expiration Dates

My wife and I have been GS members since 2002. Today we have 3 GS memberships. Once for GS itself, one for ERS, and one for TravelAssist. The problem is that they are all due to be renewed at different times of the year and we even have 2 different member numbers. I would think that with all the technology that GS seems to have, there would be a way to consolidate all of the various GS options into a single membership number with a single renewal date/cost. A single invoice with the various options that a member has selected with the associated charge should be an easy thing to produce these days.

RE: Insanity of RV Plus Card

We pull a 39' fifth-wheel and trying to get that unit into any of the small town stations that have diesel is a challenge to say the least. With the new requirements for DEF in the newer trucks, try to find a local station that has it at the pump. I will agree that some of the local stations may have cheaper diesel, but the ease of the Pilot/Flying J/Roadranger stations makes looking anywhere else a loosing proposition. I am sticking with the RV Plus card.

RE: Well we did it ! Odered new Voltage V3895 w/Epic 1 & 2

Congratulations and I hope you have a 350/450 or similar truck to haul that thing. It is 14K+ unloaded. That is without water, LP gas, toys and everything else that we all take along.

RE: Schwintek slide problem

Had the same problem with our main slide. Needed to give it a push on one side and then it ran fine. Dutchman replaced both of the motors with the newer versions and adjusted the controller and now everything is just fine. The controller can be adjusted by you if you find the instructions on Lippert's site. It might be a case of the controller being too sensitive.

RE: New Voltage Owner

I have looked at that one also Mallet. Looks like one could replace the OEM antenna we have now on our v3200. Last year at an RV rally, the guy next to me had CW install it right in the parking lot. Can't say how well it worked, but it has to be better that the mushroom one I have now. We are heading to FL for another RV rally next month and I may have CW install one if it $$ is right.

Nothing new there. Seen most of these at Camping World. I even purchased the male plug and waterproof cover for the cable I made up to connect up to the new 50amp outlet on the garage for when the 5er is at home.

RE: Gold Wing in a TH

We had a R27T Rage'n for a few years and used the Condor wheel chock. Did not want to attached it to the floor as the fresh water tank was right where the chock was to be located and there was no way to drop the water tank and then drill holes for the chock. If you notice the sig, we have a '94 GL1500 and had no problem with the Wing moving in the Rage'n. PM me if you want to know how to tie the Wing down in your Rage'n.
