RE: Gaspe Peninsula

We drove the Gaspe last year in late July the road is fine, we have a large 5th wheel and friends with us were in 42' class A's with toads, no problems.

RE: Leaving travel trailer/5th wheel year round in US Southwest

I leave my 5th wheel in Birch Bay Washington, and my Canadian insurance company knows and allows that.

Thanks to Camping World in Burlington Washington

I just want to say thanks to Linda and the tech staff at Camping World Burlington for dealing with Keystone for me. My trailer is going to Oregon to be fixed at their factory. Thank you for all of your phone calls and emails keeping me up to date.

RE: No Shaw Service in USA

This is an issue that all of us who use Shaw might need to look at. I'm a member on another forum and someone else, who recently contacted Shaw stated that as of June 30 Shaw will not have service in the US. I have emailed them but yet to hear, if this is the case I know that I will no longer be with Shaw.

RE: Using "maneuvering" position on slider

I contacted Hijacker and asked what was the proper procedure for sliding back the hitch, they stated that you had to take the weight off the hitch by putting the landing gear down. Then you can pull the safety pins and move the truck forward and allow the pins to fall into the new holes. No need to disconnect the truck.

RE: Help from Keystone Montana owners

When I purchased my front living room I had the dealer build a guard around the "flex tube" I also suspect that it is the hot air duct for the front living room vent. Not sure if it would have been a problem without the guard, but that is the only good size bay so I try to use all the available space. It has worked well so far and have about 12,000 miles on the trailer.

RE: Going to a larger fifth wheel. Thoughts? Help!

We also went from a 32 ft to a 40 ft, I actually found that the larger trailer is easier to back up than the smaller one, if you are comfortable backing up a 5th wheel you probably won't see much difference. I too have gone to an axillary fuel tank and now either fuel at truck stops or drop the trailer and fuel. I can't say that the extended length doesn't limit where you can stay, but it certainly nice to have the extra room if you are on the road for extended periods. We certainly enjoy the extra room.

RE: When to use water pressure regulator on fiver?

I've been in a park where the water pressure was over 120 psi not thinking I had my water filter hooked up before my pressure regulator, blew up the water filter. Won't do that again, I too always use my pressure regulator.

RE: Leaving rig in the US - Insurance?

My Canadian insurance company will cover my 5th wheel as long as it is stored within 200 miles of the border, go figure.

RE: If you could change anything about your 5er

Dedicated storage for the sewer hose, much better manual, lighting in the under bed storage area, better quality of tires on heavier 5th wheels.

RE: Can a WIFI Tower effect Satellite service

It is a "WiFi" tower about 25 feet high, so by some definitions a mast, I understand the difference, just never thought to word it that way, but it turns out that isn't my problem after numerous calls to Shaw Direct I final got a tech that new what the problem was. I recently put a new roof top satellite system on the roof (less than a month ago). I was having problems, only getting 1/2 the normal channels, phoned Shaw and they did a receiver re-map while none of my receivers were in contact with the satellite but when it was changed my carry out dish has a different LNB than the one on the roof so it made finding a signal impossible, switched to an old receiver and got a signal and from then Shaw was able to reset all my receivers so I'm finally a happy camper as I have my PVR working and have a great signal. I want to thank everyone who tried to help me troubleshoot this.
Thanks again
Michael

RE: Can a WIFI Tower effect Satellite service

We have Shaw Direct, I really didn't think it would either, but I can't figure why my dish won't lock on any satellite, was working fine until we got here.

Can a WIFI Tower effect Satellite service

We presently are in an RV park where we have a nearby wifi tower, since I have been in the park my roof top satellite system refuses to lock on anything and I can't seem to even find the satellite with a manual set up dish. On top of that our cell phone goes from maximum reception to no cell service from the same location in the 5th wheel. It seems strange, but I have no other idea why my service won't work.

Best site for weather information on Interstate 5

We have a family problem and have to head north from Indio, we are concerned about the Siskuy (sp) pass between California and Oregon and would like to know which weather site will give us the best forecast for the pass.
