RE: Stehltow DollyQs

Fatman, I just got a new Master tow. It also says to align the pan. I believe that the square pan is important. If not, when you go on, one tire will hit the bulkhead and the other will be back. Not a good alignment. After I towed one time it loosened up.Now all I have to do is take my foot to it. Also you want to be centered as close as possible so that the fenders don't hit the side of your car. Marvh

RE: Dolly towing new Prius

We have a new Prius. I will be using a dolly for it. I googled Prius tow and the Toyota Expert thinks that maybe the ready button is being left on. Maybe the next person to tow could be sure and try and turn it off. If it is the problem, the fix seems easy. Marvh

RE: leveling without hydraulics

reneve, wouldn't one wheel have to be a starting point? It seems to me that something has to be good. So at most you only need five levelers. Marvh

RE: buying a 2013 coachman class c

rayday, We have a 30'9" 2012 Freelander. We also pull an HHR with it. I can not believe that the 21 ft. is under powered with the 4500 Chev and the 6.0 engine. We did a 4500 mile trip this summer and never had any power, handling or MPG problems. And yes, we have had the Ford. It is a lot more noisy and hot in the cab. The Chev trans shifts so smoooooth. Emphasis on the extra o's in the word smooth! Don't get me wrong. The Ford Tranny is sweet also, just not as nice as the Chevy.

RE: Chasis lube points?

Just crawl under it at the front. Start finding all the little teats and grease them. Be sure and use caution when pumping the grease in. You will have to put a finger in the drive shaft u-joint to feel for a zerk. While you're at it, look for any oil that might be on the inside of the tires or brake backing plates! These things are really quite simple if you have ever had to grease a plow or a manure spreader on the farm!

RE: Storage Compartment

That door should be in a frame. Take a fingernail and see if there is sealant between the frame and body. The sealant should extend across the top and down the sides some distance.

RE: How accurate are height statements?

Well then Michelb, Me thinks that with the attention that you are using,he should have nothing in any tanks , less than a quarter tank of gas , tires aired to maximum allowed pressure and only him aboard. If he measured it when it was in a just rolled off the assembly line state, it would never get any higher. Marvh
