RE: So how do you divide up your camping chores??

D/W does the inside,I do the outside;Inside consist of putting chemicals/water in the toilet, sitting out the coffee maker, blender, can opener, adjusting the clocks, bringing the chairs out,and fixing me something to drink. And then she will help me on whats left to do outside.

RE: Pots 'n Pans ??

We also have misc. pots and pans, but I would say that 95% of the time we use a electric skillet. You can cook almost anything with this. And if its telfon coated its really easy to clean. And a large stock pot really comes in handy if you have a large crowd to feed.

RE: finding leak

My first guess would be too look around the molding/seal around the slide. If I was a betting man this would be what I would roll the dice on.

RE: Plans for 12'x36' Storage Building for TT

Pole barn/building is the cheapest way to go.If you can get or have a way to haul power/phone poles this will save you a few $$Now sitting them is another story.

RE: LPG price ripoff????

Lets see,We have two local hardware stores and a propane supplier in the local town that does this. Its not unusual in the south if your in the country to find quite a few of these stores.

RE: What is the best, general carry around knife ?

Case and Old Timer for my small pocket knifes. And a Kabar,S&W,or Case with I'm field dressing a big game animal.I also prefer mild steel instead of the 440ss.They might look a little rough but they hold a edge. Also some of the Case and better name knifes are made over seas now,So you need too look @ the blade and the box it comes in.

RE: MPG - 2006 CTD

Sounds right to me.Towing a 8000# TT I get 11.5 to 14.5 mpg.Non towing I get 14.5 to 16.5 mpg.Not much of a difference with my truck.

RE: Gonna be driving a school bus! UPDATE: 10-15-09

Congratulations Julie. My D/W has drove a school bus for over 20 yrs.Its not bad pay but she does have to leave early in the morning and shes off all thru the summer. If only she could get off more in the spring and fall it would be better.Shes going to retire within the next few years, although shes not of age to retire, and I'm sure she might miss it!LOL!

RE: Single Person RV (Uses no gas or diesel!)

I like the remarks that say The camper can go anywhere the person goes while pedaling. In my case it wouldn't be very far.LOL!I wonder how much weight you would have on the back of that bike? Now if they would just convert it and install a small weedeater motor and a large gear they just might be onto something.

RE: Child hit by golf cart in campground

Tragic for sure.Could it have been prevented?Maybe and maybe not.Was drinking while driving the cart the root of the problem? Are was the parents not watching the kids closely?I have 3 grandkids and its really really hard to watch them every minute. You turn your head and within 2 seconds there off into the road, water,or etc.It very well could have been a large truck towing a camper that could have did the same thing.Me personally if it was my grandkid I would be tore all too pieces and blaming myself.Maybe this will catch the attention of folks to slow down some, and to start too teach your kids @ a early stage some safety points.

RE: Sad waste of a fine V-10 engine

I agree with all here.I've seen several several trucks I would like to have thats going to the clunker list and there in better shape than my current hunting truck.I personally think they should be sold to folks for say $500 and not dealers. That way someone could benefit from the waste the government is causing.

RE: Another closed thread....not including this one

The Mods have a tough job and it sure don't pay enough. One thing that will get banned every time is to mention the words gun or PETA.I've had a couple of post deleted but thats OK with me.It takes alot too offend me.

RE: anyone forced to let go of your camper?

Not yet. Were still hanging on.The D/W has been unemployed for 4 months and our hours have been cut back, along with a 15% increase in our hospital insurance. But we have been thru hard times before and we always have pulled thru it.Hang in there. And just remember your not alone.

RE: Got stung by a yellow jacket last night

LOL!I ran over a nest sat afternoon with the D/R Mower bush hog.The little suckers stung me 8 times!I waited till dark and went back where they were and inserted a 16oz bottle of gas down into there hole. This took care of most of them. Then on sunday morning I finished them off by digging up there nest underground.Because we live in the country and we have grandboys running thru the woods all the time I take killing of the yellow jackets seriously. If there around don't leave a open can of soda sitting.Nothing worse than picking up the can and taking a drink and have one too sting you on the lips!

RE: Weather Channel's - How to Judge the Weather

I prefer the ole indian weather rock.If the rock is wet its raining. If the rock is white its snowing. If the rock is dry and warm its sunny. Can't go wrong with that.LOL!
