RE: mice

I remove anything useful for mice and use a water board trap. And do not block any openings. If openings are blocked they'll chew their way in. Once they get in the trap attracts them before they get into anything else. They climb the board, across the wire and roll off the peanut butter coated can into the bucket of water. Have caught as many as three in one night, in one trap. No re-baiting.
No more mice in four weeks.
Been doing this for years in my outside pool house. Must of been an invasion last year, caught 32 mice, only 5 so far since last month.

RE: mice

Try and plug any opening where they can get in. Mice can enter a whole about the size of a dime. Anyway I use dryer sheets and moth balls. I guess they work as I have not had any mice.
Yeah, they love dryer sheets, they make a great nest. Moth balls do work for spiders and such also.

RE: Rt 66

There is a book titled (Insight Guides)United States on the Road by the Discovery Channel. It breaks down the US into sections and one section covers RT66 which is very interesting. (the whole book is)

RE: Rear Brakes on 2005 E450

How long (average) should rear brakes last. have a Tioga Sl 30 ft
with 2 slides. 21k miles. mostly highway and always use the transmission on down hills for braking when I can.
Hearing a squeeking sound from the right rear, I think and when
I go a little faster , the noise is faster. Do the brake pads wear
out that quick??
The squeeking sound is probably the sensor telling you to change the pads.

RE: Tire winterizing

Dakzuki plan is as follows....
Step 1: Park RV.
Step 2: After long period of being parked and planning to use RV, check tire pressure.
Step 3: Drive RV.
Upon returning to base go back to step 1.
Change the air! Sorry couldn't help myself. :-)

RE: Water drain Valves?

Simple, pull them and find out. Ones black and one is red, they are water lines, without looking, probably drains.

RE: how to drain fresh water tank on a jamboree

Open your compartments in front of or in back of the tank. Look deep inside and see if there isn't a valve in there. (mine is)

RE: Morgan Resorts

A few days back, I sent an e-mail to Morgan Corporation and now we get a response from Mr. Moser. Thank you Mr. Moser for responding. This shows me that all the "surveys" we get are not seen by Corporate. Most likely in my area to a secretary in Saratoga that sends them to the campground.
Friday I got a call from Morgan offering me a 5% discount if I pay upfront for next seasons holiday weekends. I thought 5% was pretty chintzy for what I get at Waubeeka. As Mr. Moser basically said, good things will take time, at least we got their attention.

RE: weep holes

A "weep hole" is mean't for water to "weep" out such as condensation. All the windows should have "weep holes" on the bottom.

RE: Towing MPG

65 mph is still way too fast for economy. slow to 58 and you will see a big difference. Safer too. Bring back the 55 mph speed limit please.
If your doing 58 in a 65 MPH speed zone, I'm going to run you over:-)
If I have to worry about gas milage, I may as well stay home.

RE: overnight between columbus ohio and cinni

gotta make a quick run to memphis tenn . need a over night stop between columbus and cinn.
With an RV?? Depends on your route, if you go up 75 to 71, you will find a Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot etc. at just about every exit. If you travel with a GPS, it will tell you.

RE: Morgan Resorts

Camp Waubeeka in Copake NY was bought by Morgan Resorts 2 years ago and nothing has changed except raising the prices. Except for the seasonals/few 50amp site which was done by the previous owner, no TV, Wifi works "maybe" for an hour in 3 days, poor electric, always poppin the breakers, bathrooms are a disgrace, no hand washing soap, no laundry, no pool and kids on bikes competely out of control. I also get calls for discounts or a survey etc, and nothing changes, it is all "the money". I don't think the "word" gets to corporate where it should. The surveys come out of Saratoga, NY but I don't know where corporate is located, Florida?
