RE: weep holes

A "weep hole" is mean't for water to "weep" out such as condensation. All the windows should have "weep holes" on the bottom.

RE: Towing MPG

65 mph is still way too fast for economy. slow to 58 and you will see a big difference. Safer too. Bring back the 55 mph speed limit please.
If your doing 58 in a 65 MPH speed zone, I'm going to run you over:-)
If I have to worry about gas milage, I may as well stay home.

RE: overnight between columbus ohio and cinni

gotta make a quick run to memphis tenn . need a over night stop between columbus and cinn.
With an RV?? Depends on your route, if you go up 75 to 71, you will find a Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot etc. at just about every exit. If you travel with a GPS, it will tell you.

RE: Morgan Resorts

Camp Waubeeka in Copake NY was bought by Morgan Resorts 2 years ago and nothing has changed except raising the prices. Except for the seasonals/few 50amp site which was done by the previous owner, no TV, Wifi works "maybe" for an hour in 3 days, poor electric, always poppin the breakers, bathrooms are a disgrace, no hand washing soap, no laundry, no pool and kids on bikes competely out of control. I also get calls for discounts or a survey etc, and nothing changes, it is all "the money". I don't think the "word" gets to corporate where it should. The surveys come out of Saratoga, NY but I don't know where corporate is located, Florida?

RE: Water pump prime

Went to put anti-freeze in the lines today and the pump wouldn't prime. Now this is under the bed and in a not so convenient place. So I got a mouthful of water and blew it into the hose and the pump took offf and did what it was supposed to do.Another fine example of just the small things that can and do go wrong that need a simple fix.
You need to open a faucet "first" so the pump will have someplace for the "stuff" to go.

RE: Onan oil change

Open the cover on you Onan it should be printed right on the front left along with the oil filter informaton. Do not put a single weight oil in the generator. Mine (a 5500)uses 15-40 for the best temperature range. I use the Onanmax which you can get from any Onan dealer.
My book says 10-30, an Onan 4000 doesn't have a filter.

RE: Low-Point Drains when Winterizing

On my last trip home, I open all drains, faucets and removed the water heater plug. By the time I get home all the lines and water heater are are drained. No need to blow out the lines, put pink stuff in traps and I'm good to go.
