RE: Avoiding alligators

If you are going to FL the ocean is the best choice IMO Keep you dog on a leash, Don't let him poke his nose anyplace you would not put you nose. There are dog beaches in FL. Always remember gator's are fast so stay back from all fresh water. You will see people in the south use these lakes and rivers and they will say they are safe or the gator's don't bother them, Don't believe it. Stay safe and remember to look before you step out of your RV after dark. Have Fun

RE: Anyone build wood ramps to work under MH?

Jack Stands, Please use Heavy Duty Jack Stands. If I had those boards I would build some raised beds for my garden, Just in case you change your mind. Have a nice day

RE: Snow on the roof.....

I would not worry about it. Wind and sun will eat at the snow and there is just no safe way to get on a snow covered roof.

RE: Prevcenting Frozen Pipes in REALLY Cold Weather

Have never had a pipe freeze in below 0 weather. Just keep the heat on and keep a cabinet door open to let the heat to the pipes. You can use a van on low to move the air into the cabinet if you think its needed. If your pump is in a outside bay you can put a drop light in there to warm the bay. See if the pips are touching the outside wall, If so try to move it out. Hope this helps.

RE: New Laptop, buy now or after Christmas

I would think the selection after Christmas would be small. I just ordered on from Compaq and as I was looking trying to decide one of my choices sold out.

RE: Black Tank Issues

Yup, Start with the vent tube. If you are using the bathroom vent and fan the that could be a problem also. If the fan is on when you flush the toilet then it can pull the fumes up out of the toilet, Also check to make sure it is not the gray tank you are smelling. You should have a vacuum vent under the bathroom sink, Make sure it is working. If you are not using your shower then you need to be sure to keep water in the trap.

RE: Winterizing (Not) Question Again..Didn't Get Answered

You should not have a problem, I would leave a cabinet door open to allow the heat to get to your water pipes as an added precaution .

RE: screen door rattle

If I remember to lock the dead bolt on the door before I take off then it does not rattle. Give it a try it might be a fix for you. Also if the weather stripping gets wore out it would make the screen loose.

RE: Remove Gutter to Install Slide Awning?

By what I can see in your picture it appears what you call the gutter is really the track the awning would slide into, It just has a trim filler in it that would pull out. As far as te trim on the slide, No it would not be removed. The awning not being solid is why it dose not need much pitch. Hope this helps

Good Sam junk mail has been way down over the past few months. I din't find the changes made to this forum as a bad thing at all. It still works, Much better then any magazine or tv channel with all there add and more interesting.
