RE: Sold house! Wasnt even listed for sale...

It is plain to me. They had it listed once and it did not sell. They wanted to sell it but could not and took it off the market. Probably waiting until market conditions improved. Several years later, Someone remembered the house from when it was on the market and came back and bought it.
That is exactly what happened! We happened to be discussing if we should call a realtor at the time the knock came.
Thanks for your help everyone! We are excited to begin our journey sooner then expected!

RE: Sold house! Wasnt even listed for sale...

Totally irrelevant Miss Nosy Parker question:
How did you come to sell your house if it wasn't even listed for sale???
I am not sure I understand...what is a "Miss Nosy Parker"? Just goggled it...why on earth would you think that?
We were listed 5yrs ago and didn't sell. This couple just knocked on the door and asked if we were the originally couple and did we still want to sell. It isn't a scam btw, they are acquaintances.
We have thought about not buying, but aren't sure if we are ready to just live in the TT. We thought we would like to travel when we become full-timers.
I guess I was just curious as if it could really be that simple as to use a relatives address and hang out at the camp ground for a while...feels like I am missing something...but maybe not.

Sold house! Wasnt even listed for sale...

so now we are packing like crazy because they would like possession asap!
OH MY GOODNESS!!
We are intending on full-timing...in about 15yrs! Right now we stay out at a deeded lot for 6 months a year (as much as they will allow)
So...we plan to stay in the TT and put our stuff in storage while we look for another home.
In the meantime I plan on using my brothers house as our mailing address so we do not get in trouble with the DMV ( CDL holders here)and keep the government happy...
What am I forgetting? What else do I need to do to keep us out of trouble??
ANY help would be appreciated! We have to stay in the area of our work right...because the work is on the road1 I have been researching full-timing...but this is different.
Thank you!

RE: Pics of our new trailer!!

congrats on the new jayco! We love ours! One of the best, best, best things we loved about upgrading from a 19'er to a 26' was DUCTED air vents! I dont know if you had them before, if not, you will really enjoy it!

RE: sewing on the road

I had the same question this spring! I convinced my husband to remove the sofa and put in a table from IKEA...I put my machine, my stuff and my table loom on it and had a blast this summer! It is just the two of us so we still had the dinette and recliners to sit at. (Jayco 26RLS)
Worked great and weight didn't seem to be a problem. I have a Brother ULt sews and embroiders.
We thought about getting a toy hauler so all my toys could come with, but for now my 250lb floor loom has to stay at the S&B :(

RE: Norcold fridge, not staying on gas

Greetings all!
We finally had a chance to play around with the fridge. We switched it over to gas while parked, it would stay on the "gas" for about a 1/2 hour and then start flashing. We switched it on and off a few times to try to reset it. Finally realized the pilot light would not ignite. Only on the fridge do we not get flame. The furnace works, the stove works but the gas part of the fridge just clicks....What was confusing is that it seemed like it worked for the first 1/2hr...so we thought it WAS working...
any suggestions now??

RE: Norcold fridge, not staying on gas

hum, we haven't listened for the flame so that would be a good place to start along with the other suggestions. racer4, we didnt really time it, but we would wait a few minutes before we thought it was good, but we will check that out too!
I am writing down all the suggestions and then this weekend we should have time to go through the list.
I will check back to see if there are anymore and then once we find the problem/solution etc I will post back!
Thanks again to everyone for your help.

RE: Norcold fridge, not staying on gas

We are usually on electric, so we only use the gas for travel. How many times do you have to "recycle" for it to stay on? We have turned on the stove and lit all the burners every time we stopped, but when it would stay on a couple minutes we would pull out and then when stopped we would check it and it would be flashing again. How many times do you have to turn it on and off, and how many minutes do you wait before you know it works? We are parked at our seasonal spot now so I can check this out when I return in a couple of days.
It would be nice if that is all it is! (user error!)
Thanks dublittle

Norcold fridge, not staying on gas

has anyone had trouble with their Norcold fridge not staying on the gas setting. We have bled the line, gas works fine with oven but when traveling we noticed it does not stay on the gas setting (check gas when flashing) is what we get.
Any suggestions? Is this a problem we can fix ourselves or should we take it to the dealer?
Appreciate the help!
