New Orleans- KOA or Bayou Segnette???

Headed to New Orleans at the end of June. I have reservations at the KOA, but now I am thinking about switching to Bayou Segnette state park. We have two kids- 8 and 11. We are going to spend 3-4 days in the area. The last time we were there we stayed at Fairview Riverside, but we want to be on the city side of the lake this time.
Opinions needed..
Thanks! Shawna

RE: New York City Area

We stayed at Croton a few years ago. It was 45 min to an hour into the city on the commuter train. We went in 3 different days, and covered a large portion of the city. Part of the fun for our kids was the train. Part of the reason we stayed there is because we went up to West Point one day.

RE: Fort Pickens Cg

Came upon this one as well, and we will be spending the 4th of July there. Very excited! Will we be able to see the fireworks from the campground?

Campgrounds near or on St. Simons Island Georgia

We will be meeting friends this summer that have a house on St. Simons Island. Since our 2 dogs must travel with us from Texas, we will be in the RV and need a campground close. Any suggestions? Must be a place we could leave dogs in the trailer all day without a fuss (dachshund and chiweenie).

RE: Glacier NP campgrounds

We were also just at the KOA in St.Marys. We decided we prefered thee East side eventhough it is a lot more remote. The KOA is spacious and well kept. I would return there. The East side of Glacier is also closer to more of the day hikes , etc..... The KOA also has a large pool.

RE: Cheyenne mountain state park

We are here and all is well if you forget about the blowout, thus the 4 hour delay. Ouch!
Beautiful park!

Cheyenne mountain state park

We hit the road this morning, and we are supposed to spend the night at the state park tonight. Central reservations said everything is fine as far as they know. The park doesn't answer. Anyone in this area have any info?

RE: Gaslight RV PArk, Emlenton PA

We overnighted here a couple of years ago. The spot was a pull through but not very level. The biggest problem was our kids wanted to swim, but a local church group came and took over the pool.
IT seems like there was a hookup issue as well, but i cant remember. It was easy to get to off the interstate.

RE: Yellowstone cooking/food considerations...

I have been wondering the same thing. We will be at Fishing Bridge over the 4th of July. I said something about grilling steaks on the portable grill on the back of the truck tailgate, then I wondered if that would be a good idea or not.
Interested to see the answers to this one.

RE: AllState RV Road help??

Interesting. We may try Allstate this year. Do they service in Canada? We are headed to Calgary.

AllState RV Road help??

Just got a KOA discount card to use this summer since we will be making many overnight stops there. I noticed the AllState RV Road help is $75 for a year. I haven't renewed our Good Sams yet. We have been going back and forth on whether we need it or not. We will travel 5,000 plus miles this summer as we do every summer. Last summer was the first time I had to call Good Sam's, and they weren't able to help us with our problem. Is AllState a reasonable alternative to Good Sam's?
I have searched the forums and read the responses. I would like to know what personal experience has been.
Thanks!
