RE: Mohican Rump, Bump Rally 8/7-8/9, 2009
I just got caught up with the posts in this thread and I have to say I can't remember laughing harder at anything I've ever seen posted here than when I read about the "Suck and Shoot Rally"! LOL
Dan, as for whether or not we should do this rally again, I think the data speaks for itself. Running a quick query on our database, 3 of our top 10 most attended rallys of all time are Mohican ones, the rest are all either Spring or Fally Rallys. We actually have a pretty good shot at breaking the record with this one. The largest Rally we've had is a tie at 26 rigs between last year's Fall Rally and 2007's Spring Rally.
RE: Ohio Rallies for 2009
Blue Max,
In your sig you said "Rallies attended....I lost count":h
That's OK because "Webmaster-M" has the count beside your name. To see it go to our offeeceal website, www.OhioRally.com and then "Resources" then "Members" and you will see the count for you and all the Ohio Rallyers! Cool huh?:C
Is it updated, because I just looked at the site and Bob and Helen are listed at 1 rally and I'm sure I've seen them more than that! LOL
Maybe someone else lost count. I know I did. :B
It's up to date through 7/6/09, haven't updated for the July Rally yet, I'll update it after Mohican though. It's true that Bob only has made it to one Rally, though. Well, according to the database anyway; Helen had been to 12 though. There was a, well let's say a "quirk" in the software that gave Bob's precedence in the tally and ignored Helen's. I fixed it. :)
For those interested, you can resort the data on that page by clicking on the headings. If you go there and click on the "# of Rallies" heading, then click it again, you'll see the list sorted from most attended to least attended and see who's winning.
SPOILER: It's Steve and Sharyl by a long shot! :)
RE: Ohio Rallies for 2009
I got this message from Mindy and she asked me to post it here since it might be someone from Ohio. Please pass it along as appropriate. Thanks!

May 14th, a female orange and white Brittany or maybe a mix was lost at a truck stop in Winnsboro, SC. The dog escaped the family’s RV, and they searched for an hour and went on their way. The dog was found ½ hour later. She is being well cared for but the folks that have her would like to find the owner. The dog misses her owners. There is some thought that they were from Ohio. If anyone hears of a family missing this dog, please contact below:
Thanks…

RE: 2009 Cleveland RV Show Rally (January 9-11, 2009)
Hey all, Leslie and I won't be making it out, we decided to cancel due to the weather and go to the Pittsburgh show instead. Hope everyone has a great time and safe travels!
RE: 2009 Cleveland RV Show Rally (January 9-11, 2009)
Leslie and I will be going on Saturday, we'll meet everyone at the IX center at 10:00am to get the Dan Deal. :) Not sure about Damon's yet, that will probably be a gametime decision. We'll probably be bringing a friend of ours with us, too, that's shopping for a travel trailer.
RE: 2009 Cleveland RV Show Rally (January 9-11, 2009)
Happy holidays everyone! Leslie and I are in Daytona and heading down to Key West on Sunday. We had a bit of an adventure getting here last weekend, though. :) When we left last Saturday our fridge wasn't working, kept coming up with a fault code of "n". We thought maybe it would start working when it got warmer, but no dice. So we made an appointment at a Camping World in St. Augustine for the following Monday morning to check it out. We discovered that waiting for the diagnosis is pretty much like waiting for a doctor to come out and tell you good or bad news. We assumed it was going to be cancer (new fridge needed) but couldn't believe it just needed to be reset! They were really great to us, the tech even drew up a diagram and showed me on the fridge how to reset it myself if it ever happens again. However, I have to back up a bit...while changing lanes on a highway in Georgia, we heard a gigantic noise. Leslie and her mom looked all over the RV and couldn't figure out what it was and the RV was driving just fine so I kept going till I could pull over and look over the exterior. I looked at the roof, outside walls, and tires and could see nothing wrong, so we kept going about another 150 miles to St. Augustine and never figured it out. When we left Camping World and got out on the highway, we noticed the RV had quite a bit of vibration and then noticed the smell of burning rubber, so I pulled off at a Flying J to get gas and check the tire pressure on our tires. They were all low but when I got to the last one, the inside rear passenger side one, it was really low: zero. :) I felt it and it was completely off the wheel! Fortunately there was a truck tire place right by the Flying J and they put a new tire on for us and checked out the rest of them for us, too (one also needed a new valve stem). I just can't beleive we drove 150 miles missing a tire!
Anyway, everything else has gone really well, can't complain too much as we've all been safe. Hope everything is well with everyone! :)
RE: An Ohio Rally Thanksgiving, Nov 26th-30th, 2008
Wow, I had no idea this rally was cancelled! Serves me right for not checking threads for 2 weeks. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving whatever your plans may be!
Leslie was forced to learn how to use the convection oven in the RV yesterday. Her and her mom were just about ready to put 3 pumpkin pies in the oven and discovered that our 1.5 year old oven (out of warranty by .5 years of course) decided that it refused to get any hotter than 220 degrees. The pies came out beautiful, though, in the RV, can't wait to eat them today! :) Fortunately she had planned to cook the bird in a roaster anyway and her mom is baking a ham at her house, so the oven was only needed for pie. This is our first time hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house, but I think Leslie is doing a fantastic job so far. I have the easy job, though, I just need to make egg nog and other various adult beverages as needed. :)
