Thanks for clearing that up, David. Are these sites pretty close together--looks like it from the map and the slideshow pictures. I'm trying to figure out a good dog location without going up to the top by ourselves! In the slideshow on the homepage of their website they show a couple of motorhomes parked side by side--really close. Is that our area? If so I looks like more room at the top of the loop in 96 or 97--if anyone has been to this really are those sites farther apart? Dave is not a happy camper in cheek to jowl spaces!

Great rally! Not as many as usual, but it was a chance to get to know the ones there by name--not just reading nametags. DavidG and Laura did a FABULOUS job again. thanks for bringing your money to Oregon, Washingtonians! Great to attend a rally that's under 40 miles from home. Drive safe, everyone!

Thanks. At the rate we're going, will probably be noon anyway! Just got in with the trailer from storage--haven't started loading. At least we don't have to bring much food! want to get the gift in ASAP!

DavidG, are they really strict on check in and out times (check in after noon; check out 11 a.m.--especially on the Sunday checkout. Would like to have time to have lunch first--but not a necessity!

We'll be in before noon or so on Friday. Our grandson has a school program Thursday night. Weather may be a little cool--and possibly damp--so be prepared. I think that beats the hot year!

I sure hope it cools down! We're having temps in the mid 80's--not as bad as the 100 that one year, but too darn hot! We just got back from 3 nights out--dry camping up near Detroit Lake--temps over 80 in the day, 30's at night. Didn't have to fire up the generator to run the AC, but it was close. Two windy days helped, but we nearly lost an awning. One end was tied down to our 76# Yamaha generator--and it moved the genny. At that time I got help and got the awning down. Dave was out woriking an a wildlife habitat project.

If you are slightly walking impaired, it looks like site #2 is open--it's a back in, and a little shorter than the interior sites, but right by the clubhouse. We're in #1.

I thought we were going to have to cancel, but Dave finally made up his mind on what to do about the 3 conflicting things going on on that same weekend! We are coming to the rally and Dave will come back to Salem early Saturday morning to work at a huge area-wide kids track meet that our Optimist club helps sponsor--we are desperate for workers. He'll then come back to the park in the afternoon. We will skip the Oregon Hunters State Convention at the casino in Lincoln City. I'm looking forward to seeing the group since it's been a few years since we made it--2010 to be exact.

Isn't it snowing in the passes, Jon? Estacada, east of Portland, and Rainier got snow today. Mt. Hood has 2' of new snow. I think our high was about 45 degrees today. Have a good, and safe, trip!

Good grief, Jon--I had that eye problem also, but it was years ago after RK eye surgery. Had the light shooting, and the floaters, but luckily not a detached retina. The floaters went away after a little while. These "twin" medical problems have to stop! :E My 2nd skin cancer removal is this Thursday, but mine were the lesser kind.
