RE: Garmin RV 760LMT

So, it's looks like the answer is no. It's not smarter that google maps or a car GPS unless I put in waypoints, like I do already with my old GPS.

RE: Garmin RV 760LMT

Depends on how you have programmed it. Fastest, less traffic, truck, bicycle? Pick your programming functions. Where is the less traffic option? My standard Garmin doesn't have that. It would also be great to have 'all highway' function and not cut me through a subdivision to save 30 seconds.

RE: Tow Vehicle 7-Way Plug Emulator

I've got one of those. It will check the lights but also will cook, clean, do the dishes, and laundry.

Garmin RV 760LMT

or any RV GPS for that matter. Do the new units have smart routing? In other words, if your in Richmond, VA going to Portland, ME does it take you right thru Washington DC, Baltimore, & New York City? Does it know that that's exact what an RVer doesn't want to do pulling a 35' FW. I'd like to get a Garmin RV 760LMT if it's smarter than Google Maps.

RE: Driving on beach in outer banks

And be ready for some rusted truck parts if you hit any water on the beach. Stay away from any 'puddles'. After a day driving the beach you need to rinse the undercarriage. Also, you'll need to air down your tires to 15/20 psi if the sand is powder like what's on Ocracoke. I've been surf fishing the OBX for around 10 years and learned the hard way.

RE: Brand New to RVing

Just be aware that you'll never get back what you put into it, both cost and labor. Camp in it before you unload a bunch of cash to see if it's going to be what you want and need.

RE: Fresh Water Pump? Replace with OEM or Upgrade??

My last trailer I upgraded the pump because I used it a lot. It's still probably worth the upgrade just because it's nice to have. In water pumps you get what you pay for.

RE: Is this really the only 5th wheel hitch option?

My Dealer said I had to sign a waiver to exclude them from liability if I opted not to have a slider and that's a decent price.

RE: Tire Inflation pressures

The written sidewall pressure is an internal air pressure. How you load the external tire pressure is up to you. Your safest with what's on the sidewall.

RE: Your opinion wanted, no seriously ... mail?

I use the UPS personal mail box (PMB) and they forward it to my location. Not sure if all UPS stores do that. The real secret is to stop getting snail mail and do everything on line. Almost all my paper mail is junk mail now.

RE: Full time travel trailer

I would be more concerned about fuel costs if your constantly moving across country. I meet people in every type and size RV and they live in it. Stay out of the cold weather and they all will work but, they all also have a lifespan.

RE: Computer maps

" I want detailed step by step and stop by stop control of the route I want to take." Can't you do that by highlighting and/or marking your maps saved on the computer. I draw and save on Adobe PDF's all the time, or do you want the computer to do it similar to if you were online. I may be missing the question :h

RE: What makes a generator specifically a "RV" generator?

I think it's best to keep a portable generator portable and not mount it or contain it in a box. It can be secured with a cable lock and they're made weather resistant, I have the cover that's made for my Yamaha for real heavy rain.
