RE: Purchasing a new RV

Battery and tanks should be included, along with a starter kit with a bunch of junk to get you started. I'd still get the battery even if you don't need it.

RE: Pls help - My black tank level is incorrect

Who needs a sensor? When your tank is full your feet get wet. Same with the grey tank and the shower.

RE: Covering a bathroom floor - ( our new post)Update and thanks

The easiest thing to do is remove any vinyl flooring and delaminated subfloor. Then apply a self leveling compound like THIS Your floor thickness only changes slightly.

RE: Camper sightings on roads and hiways Memorial Day 2014

Sit on I-95 and you see something entirely different, or any other interstate for that matter.

RE: Four Season Packages

I have an "extreme' package. That means it's good down to 20 degrees. You won't notice a '4 season' enough to justify the trade off, I've owned both.

RE: Just got my first TT home. Beginner questions.

1- Should it come equipped with the tool to turn the scissor levelling jacks? I used my drill and sockets/ratchet. Could not find any tool for jacks or to change wheels. Brand new TT. The drill for the jacks is better than anything the dealer will give you 2- Is it normal that my F250 back(corner lights) comes in contact with the trailer when at a very sharp angle backing up? I can hit mine too if I turn too sharp. 3- Any trick to getting the hitch to let the ball go? I had to turn it up and down a few time, jiggle it, jump on the bumper a few times before I could unclamp it. Back or pull the truck up a hair and it will release. 4- Where do you take your level? I used a large level so could not fit it with the refrigerator. I used the kitchen counter to level it. I used a level under a large window sill on the exterior. Now I level it with my i-phone.

RE: Water dripping from heater pressure relief valve

Work it a few times to reseal it, should be alright. I wouldn't worry about it now.

RE: Conflicting info on levelling with stabilizing jacks or not.

Look up the specs on your scissor jacks. Some are rated at a certified 6500 lb load capacity. Some have feet that stabilize only and carry no load. I use all four of my scissor jacks to level a inch or two without any problems. They won't bend or rack your trailer because they're connected to the frame, even better than the load points of the axles. Going down the road at 65 mph puts move stress on the frame that the jacks.

RE: CB radio

I ran base station and mobile CB in the 70's, It's not worth the hassle or expense these days unless your speeding and want to know where the traps are.

RE: National Parks & A-Class length

Most sites will accommodate 45'. On narrow sites I need 48' for truck and trailer if I can't park side by side, and I normally can't.

RE: Suggestions on where to install exterior shower?...

As close to the water heater as possible to keep the plumbing to a minimum, and you'll need to have access to the back. I use mine all the time. It's also a good idea to get it close to a door to get sand, etc off your feet.

RE: How to defrost the refrigerator

turn it off, take out any food, leave the doors open and be sure your drain tube at the outside panel is free flowing. A hairdryer will definitely help speed things up, and a towel to mop up the water in the freezer section is a good idea.

RE: Psi

Could be, what's max psi rating on the side of the tires? I would air up to that. You'll still more than likely feel some sway on a windy day.

RE: Camping At the Beach

That's a tough one. I know of some that are at the beach but not right on the beach. I'm assuming you mean right at the high tide line.

RE: Problems After TV Change Out

It's a small button next to where your TV coax cable screws into the RV. It needs to be punched in and normally a small light will come on next to it.
