Tire pressure on any given axle should be the same on both sides. Really no need to weigh each corner. Very dangerous to have several different pressures on several different axles. Do not differ pressures side to side as this will cause abnormal handling. Tire pressure is not brain surgery and is a very over worked subject...
These are directly from the Goodyear and Michelin tire pressure guides and they both state the exact same information. They want you to weigh each wheel position to accurately use the inflation charts.
For RV use only, Michelin displays tire loads per axle end in the
load and inflation tables, as we recommend weighing each axle
end separately and using the heaviest end weight to determine
the axle's cold inflation tire pressure. For control of your RV, it is
critical the tire pressures be the same across an axle.
Correct tire inflation is a key component in tire care. The recommended inflation pressures for your tires are indicated on the certification label or in your owner’s manual. Since RVs can be loaded with many different configurations, the load on each tire will vary. For this reason, air pressure should be checked based on the load on each individual tire. Inflation pressure should be adjusted to handle the maximum tire load, and all tires on the axle should carry the same inflation pressure.

Personally I would go get a can of lacquer thinner and a pile of soft rags. Start with a little thinner and apply it to the rag and rub carefully to see if the paint will come off. Usually does BTW. Once you are done, use a really good wax to bring the luster back.

These are correct answers to your question. Lacquer will not hurt your factory finish at all. Much easier to clean off the offending paint and then just use you regular car polish to bring up the shine. Besides the cost for the lacquer thinner will be much cheaper than all the other ideas given here.

What is wrong with the Goodyear tires your using now. From what I've been able to read about the 'H' Goodyear 4805 lb load range tire is very few problems. Many of the Mobile Suites people have moved up from the 'G' rated to the 'H' without issues. Your tire is speed rated to 75 mph and are doing a great job supporting your heavy trailer.

The tire pressure posted on the tag next to your seat is that pressure needed to closely match the gross axle rating numbers. It is not necessarily the correct air pressure for your rig. As others have posted you need to weigh your rig, best by wheel position, but without knowing your weights, you have to at least follow that tag.

I agree with Restorodder, in my past life my business was working with wheels and many times we got aluminum wheels in because of air leaks at the rim seal area. In some cases could clean them up and and make them reusable, but not always. It was rare to have a rv wheel come in, mostly vehicles and SUV wheels. But I have worked on the rv wheels also.So it does happen.

Palm Creek is a 5 star park and the best looking park in this area. It is close to the shopping that Casa Grande has to offer and close to the I-10 interchange. Many people return year after year and some sell of the RV and buy a home in the park. We purchased a RV lot about 7 miles away from Palm Creek and like the area. You will probably enjoy your selves here since the weather is so nice.

I am leaning more to the HawksHead as I like the idea of the replaceable battery.
I heard that TST is coming out with the replaceable battery senders pretty soon for those that want that type. But from what I understand, the replaceable battery senders use up the batteries faster. If that is the case, it might be less expensive over the 5 years the normal sealed battery lasts to just buy the sealed unit?? TST said they would be selling that type of sender for less than the sealed battery units. Might want to contact TST and ask them.
I really like the TST system and think for the money they are a great investment.

Trucks are weighed by each axle. The trucks GVWR is only used to find combined weights in the case of truck pulling a trailer. A GN or 5ers hitch weight will just about all be over the trucks rear axles so its pertinent to weigh the front and rear axle seperatly.
The 6084 is a 2500 GM RAWR number.
Since they do not make a 6042lb rated rear axle that number is predicated on the tire load carry capacity. Two rear tires able to carry 3,042lbs each.

Wow! That is really sad to hear. I guess that these rigs are designed and not engineered then!! I was under the impression some engineering went into the building of our trailers, but I'm really surprised they are that far off.

Floor plans vary greatly, placement of the items can cause a great imbalance in how the rig weighs. My rig has everything heavy on the off door side. Propane tanks, batteries, bedroom slide, shower, kitchen, refrigerator, pantry, microwave,entertainment center and large slide. Once we have everything in the drawers and shelving, we weigh just a tad over 1,000lbs more on that side than the other side. Driving over a regular set of scales will not show any imbalance, you will never see that side to side number. You will only know what the entire trailer weighs or possibly what each axle is carrying. It is very possible to overload 1 or 2 tire positions and not know it. That is why weighing each wheel position is needed and suggested by the tire manufacturers.

We just did this a couple of evenings ago.. First without the trailer weighed the truck front axel, whole truck and rear axel. write down all these numbers. Next with the trailer first weighed the front TV axel then the rear TV axel (new weight minus old weight is pin weight) then pulling forward we weighed the front trailer axel then both trailer axels then just the rear axel. In my case the front axel was slightly heavier than the rear. Next we pulled forward of the scale and backed up putting just the rear curb tire on the scale then both curb side tires then just the front. This gave us individual tire weight by doing some simple math.

I've found this thread interesting in the actual weighing of separate wheels and sides of the rig.
What did you see on your finding separate weights that would make any difference in how you load, pressurize left or right/front or rear tires, or anything different on your trailer??
Other than personnal knowledge of these weights, I've never heard of such a thing. Even commercial vehicles only weight axles, not individual wheel weights/tire loads.
Just wondering what would make you and others do it?

Normally tire failures or axle issues is the reason. One tire on the trailer is probably carrying more weight that all the others, by only weighing axle, you would never see that. On many trailers I weigh, one side is heavier, sometimes by a 1,000lbs or more. If that trailer is nose low,or high the weight shift from axle to axle could very easily overload the one or more tires. In some cases the tires that are failing are loaded very close to their max and the owners are unaware till they are weighed by wheel position. I recently weighed a fellow who asked me if weighing by wheel position might tell him why he has blown 7 tires and broken 2 wheels in the past year and a half. For the cost involved to weigh by wheel, you get a lot of useful information on your rig.

When I had their card I found it easy to use. It was not a charge card but a access card you registered to have. Their stations are laid out so you could easily enter and leave. On most every occasion I used their stations,they were empty of other trucks. I was told many of the larger and some smaller trucking companies use them because there is nothing for their drivers to buy there except fuel. Nothing extra gets added to the fuel bill, like food or things in the truck stops stores. I was able to pay their bill once a month using one of my regular charge cards. I stopped their account because I could normally find fuel cheaper than what they wanted per gallon. At the time I was using them there was no minimum amount of fuel I needed to buy, but that may have changed.

With the TST system, or most any tire pressure monitor system your much farther ahead in the warning process than without any system. That aside, you are 100% correct in the fact that a lot of people are killed every year while changing tires on a RV, car/truck. Finding a good safe place to have that failed tire removed can be difficult. Idling along the highway looking for that safe place could be as dangerous as stopping. Your hoping that the vehicles driving behind you understand your moving many miles per hour slower than they are and far enough off the roadway. I tell people all the time that if they do not feel safe where they are, to idle to the place that 'feels' safe. Will damage happen to the rig, maybe, will it damage the wheel, maybe, but it is a lot easier to fix those things than replace a loved one. I really hope you don't have to experience the possibilities of having to put yourself in that situation.
Having a blowout on one location of the trailer does put added stress on the remaining tire. In some cases it overloads that remaining tire by thousands of pounds. Most people never even consider that and then have a tire issue with that tire sometime down the road and wonder why. Safe travels

I also use the TST system and feel for the money, the warranty and ease of use, they won hands down. Watching tire temps are important, and it has alerted me to a stuck brake caliper, Doran and Pressure Pro would not have shown me that.

For no frills, reasonable rates and close to old down town Branson, we go to the Escapee's park in Hollister. You do not have to be a Escapee's member to stay in their parks. Flat pull through sites, 50 amp power, no pool but real friendly helpful people. Open year round.

Seems the people that are not willing to spend the money for a good TPMS should think about the dangers of changing the tires that might fail along side the highway. People are killed in every state doing just that,changing a tire. Look here and see

Do they have any rv driving schools in the southeast. Specificaly in Alabama. Seems like most are in Calif.
I used Dick Reeds company when in California and was very pleased. I met Rick Andrews in Branson, Mo that owns RV Training School. He teaches driving for motorhomes and 5th wheels and does a outstanding job. I don't know how he can keep his cool when teaching like he does. I've started gravel washing, as my wife calls it. I called it panning for gold. So far her description is much more accurate. There is a LOT of gravel to wash here in Arizona and someday I might get some gold in the pan. So far all I've got is a clean gravel pile in the campsite. Come on over and give me a hand. We both can clean some gravel.
