RE: DP MPG

I think some of these answers are when they are driving on a long straight road. I have a 40' Allegro Bus with the 400 Cummings and after 40,000 I'm getting about 7 to 7.5. I tow a Jeep Grand Cherokee and drive in a lot of hills and mountains with some nice and level roads thrown in when I go to Florida. I normally drive between 60 and 65.

RE: Destination: Myrtle Beach - Suggestions?

Try the KOA. Its close to downtown, the sites are good, and the staff is great! I've stayed there several times and will go back.

RE: Tappan Zee Bridge Tolls

Stay away from the GW bridge. Going into New York towing our Jeep, we paid $57.00. I told them I didn't want to buy the bridge, just drive over it. No sense of humor at all.

RE: East coast Florida ICW trip

You can try Treasure Coast RV Resort in Fort Pierce. It is located within throwing distance of I-95, but far enough you don't hear traffic noise. Great clean park.

RE: Is more Horsepower really better?

I've got a 40 Allegro Bus with the Cummings 400 hp engine. We traveled all over the country and up and down mountains without any problems. IMHO the Cummings 400 and Allison Transmission is a good match and will take you anywhere you want to go. I also tow a Jeep behind me and still get between 7 and 7.5 mph. Good luck.

RE: 330 horse power versus 400

I've got a 40' coach with the cummings 400 and love it. I've been out west and climbed the highest mountains without a problem. If given a choice again, I would always go with the bigger engine so you don't have to worry about climbing anything.
