RE: traveling with cats

Those little fur boogers of yours will scream a bit but they must be carried in your truck. Given a little time they will settle down. They don't need room to roam, water at their whim, or the use of the litter boxes. If traveling a long distance, then stop once in awhile and carry them to the trailer so they can stretch their legs, drink, and use their boxes.
This is what we do with our 2 kitties. They never do settle down and pretty much whine the whole trip, But once we get there and they are in the trailer, All is good.

RE: Help, fresh water won't fill all the way

Never heard of that happening, does not mean it cant. Just a new one on me. There should be a vent in the intake to prevent that from happening. Not sure why your tank is not taking a full fill though.

RE: Colorado Parks Pass - Towed Vehicle Pass Info

Yup, when I put my street legal bike into the toyhauler, they have given me a towed in vehicle pass for it.

RE: San Jose to Parker CO

The truckers would take either route. With your truck, I-70 would be no problem and a whole lot prettier. IMO. Every time I have done I-80, the wind is blowing like a son of a gun. Except, it would probably be at your back going west to east.

RE: Towing KZ MXT 312 w/half ton GMC???

GVWR is 15K ? Sounds kinda hign for a half ton, my truck's GVWR is 13K. Are you talking Gross Combined weight (truck and trailer) ? Still would be pushing it for your truck. IMO.

RE: Taylor Park- Better to approach from Gunnison or Buena Vista

I have not pulled my toyhauler over cottonwood, but people do it all the time. If I was going to TP with my trailer, I would be coming in from the south.

RE: Towing KZ MXT 312 w/half ton GMC???

It looks like it is within your ratings, We have the fuzion301, which is almost the exact same floor plan and I wish I had seen the KZ prior to buying ours, we had a KZ before and really liked it. Saying that, it is a long trailer and I would want a pretty solid truck up front of it. Not sure I would pull it with a 1/2 ton, even a newer one.

RE: Colorado Springs area recommendations?

Cheyenne Mountain State Park looks nice, has gotten good reveiws and we are going to try it later in July.
No water though, lots of nice hiking trails and real close to town to where I assume are some public pools.

RE: V nose difference in towing?

I had asked about this about a year ago when I was also looking at that Raptor. General consensus is all you gain is floorspace. No difference in towing or fuel mileage or backing up.

Just did a search on them, I liked the chairs/table in that 3600. Not familiar with them though. Looks like they are part of Forest River..

RE: Have to move our TT...our road is getting improved

Do all your neighbors have large lots as well? Maybe with a neighbor or family member?
Can you park it in front of your house to load/unload while the construction is going on?

RE: The time has come, new toy hauler

We noticed that when we got rid of our KZ, big lack of cabinets in the garage areas. Our new Fuzion does not have many cabinets in the garage, and our helmets do not fit through the door of the cabinets anyways, like they did in the KZ. We need to get some type of helmet shelf..

Go over to glamisdunes. com. (rv section) Lots of guys there with toyhaulers and winches mounted in them for loading / unloading rails/ etc. Probably get more ideas about how to mount it.

RE: New Truck Price

I just bought the GMC in my sig. numbers were about the same as yours.I had supplier pricing through my credit union. Any rebates available on top of his number? My dealer came up with another 3K in rebates to drop it even more.
And yes, I agree, prices are incredible on these trucks anymore.

RE: RV Parks in the Denver Area

The Flying Saucer mentioned above is not in the best part of town , Lots of low income folks who live in there RV's . (Not that there is anything wrong with full-timing)
For travel through town, Cherry Creek/Chatfield/Dakota Ridge are the usual best bets.
