RE: Want you opinions!

You will not knock a year of the life of the 150. You'll get some lousy gas mileage going uphill and great gas mileage going downhill. Go enjoy your trip!

RE: Dodge websites

Go here instead. They put the trucks on a different web site.

RE: running lights on while tow vehicle is disconnected

Annoys the S**T out of me.
I saw this for the first time our last trip out. A couple of RVs together and they kept all their marker lights on 24 X 7 for four days. Dumbest thing....

RE: Wrotten egg smell from hot tap

I have always solved this by simply draining the hot water tank and it has worked everytime.

RE: One more weekend, sad

Same here except it's the DW that goes back to work, she works at school. We were just out at Gettysburg and had a great time. Enjoy!

Been there and done that. Emergency is an emergency, at that point, money doesn't matter.

RE: extended warranty for travel trailer

I bought the extended warranty with mine too. The piece of mind is well worth it.

RE: DH wants to give up camping!

Yes, I feel the same way. Our TT is up for sale, originally because we wanted to purchase one with a floor plan we liked better but the last few trips have been a pain. Rude/loud/drunk neighbors, sites to close, cost...We're now considering whether to replace the camper after we sell it.

RE: Lights on RVs

This past weekend was the first time I've ever seen anyone do this. They left their lights on for the entire four days of camping, day and night. I thought it was the most ridiculous thing.

RE: ecoboost max trailer max tow

I'm doing just about those weights with my F-150 SCAB EB with the standard towing package. The truck tows like a dream with a standard WD hitch and dual sway control bars.

RE: sway control 28ft.TT with WD hitch?

I have a 25' TT and had a single sway control bar. After white knuckle towing for 6 hours in 20 mph winds with higher gusts, I put another bar on at the campground before our trip home. Two is way better than one.
Two bars are going to cost you over $200 if you install yourself. An integrated WD system will cost you another $250. If I was starting over, I'd go with an Equal-i-zer or Dual Cam for the safety and comfort.

RE: Holiday Travel in Virginia Beach VA.

We just spent six days camping at Sea Mist which is not far from Oceana NAS. The jets didn't both us at all, but, then again, we're retired Air Force so we find those sounds rather comforting. LOL

RE: Heartland North Trail

The DW and I looked at the 28BRS at the RV show in January and we both liked it very much. Granted, you really don't get a great look while at the shows but we're going for another look later this summer after (hopefully) selling our current unit.

RE: Extended Service Plans

Like you said, it's cheap insurance if something were to go wrong. I purchased one when we bought our TT last year. If I never use it, great, but I know it'll be there if I need it.
