2 friends use the Hensley Arrow, similar to the Pro Pride and both swear by them.

RE: air compressor for TT tires

I bought a 110v pancake compressor before our trip 1200 mile trip to Diney. I prefer a 110v over a 12v. I know I will not be able to run the 110v compressor unless I have the TT plugged into shore power, but I bought it to ensure my tire pressure was proper before I hit the road after each overnight stop.

RE: Observations from a camper window shopping trip

The Jayco 32BHDS outfitted nicely cost about $23,000.00 from RV Direct, less than my Excursion new. We put only put $6k down and financed the rest for 12 years at 8.5%, a payment of well less than $200.00 a month.
Two thoughts:
1. 8.5% money is expensive in today's market. Without challenged credit, you should get in the 4% to 5% range.
2. You will be "upside down" for at least 8 of those 12 years you are financed.
My reply was to show there are ways to afford the new TT you want without having a monthly payment of $300 - $500. If you can afford to double up on payments some months then do it. With a longer loan term you can enjoy camping, build fond memories and not go broke.
While some of you are finacially rich to not have a loan I choose to enjoy and stay within my family budget.

RE: opinions on jayco jay flight 28bhs

How many in your family? What type of camping will you be doing, full hook up sites or boondocking? How often will you go out and for how long?
We have 4 children so we needed a model with slides as well a bunkhouse. We go to full hook up sites so we wanted the biggest ac available. Sometimes we camp several times a month so we wanted lots of inside storage.

RE: black streaks

I used to use Purple Power then I read the warnings, it is not recommended for painted surfaces. Now I am also searching for a cleaner for painted surfaces.

RE: Weber Q regulator question

I bought a quick connect hose and then took the hose and the valve from the BBQ with me and went to Home Depot and Lowes and found the fittings I needed. Anything with threads I used the yellow propane tape on.

RE: Jayco Jayflight - opinions from owners...?

I had a Jayflight 20BH for 5 years without any issues whatsoever. Never had to take it back for anything. Sold the Jayflight and purchased a Jayco Eagle which has been flawless as well.
Just this past weekend we were at Camping World in Kingston NY scoping out our next Jayco. We were talking with a salesperson at CW and he told us they have practically zero problems with the Jayco trailers. He said the same could not be said for the other brands on the lot. A lot of people buy for the price which is understandable or just for looks. He was telling us about a Coleman TT that people buy just because of the bathroom. It looks great, but the rest of the trailer left a lot to be desired.
If TT shopping contact RVONE in Albany, you will save thou$ands for a few extra miles of driving to pick it up.

RE: Looking for better Sway Control

I now use the Reese dual cam and am very happy with it. It does take some adjusting before you have it set up properly but well worth the effort.

RE: Hail damage and Mobile Techs?

My friend owns a RV repair center and he offers mobile service. For a repair like yours he would come to you since it does not involve alot of work or special tools. For other jobs he requires the repairs be done in his shop.

RE: Need recommendation for tire pressure for TT tires

I all my vehicles I put the max tire pressure that is on the tire's sidewall when towing. I air up the tires in the morning before the sun heats them up.

Get the 15K AC. I like having a tub, sometimes after a fun day playing outside the kids need to soak in a tub of warm soapy water. With a family of 6 we love the U shape dinette.

RE: What to do if the slide doesn't work?

My 32BHDS does not have a manual override way to close the slide. I asked a Jayco Rep as well as my salesman. What I was advised to do if it should fail in the opened position was to : drop the underbelly, disconnect the slide motor, get a wrench/socket onto the slide mechanism and crank it until it closes.
