RE: Who knows what this is? (Hint - Maxxis)

I'm glad no other damage was done from the blowout. I doubt you will have much luck getting it warrantied since the tire is almost 5 years old unless they were recently installed, in which case, I would be talking to Discount about why they installed such old tires. The tires were only a couple months old when they were ordered and installed, figure I would give it try and see. You ordered a tire that has been sitting in storage nearly 5 years.

You can't fix stupid

Had to take a road trip by car last week. A Prevost MH towing a 7 series BMW 4 down passed me like I was parked. I sped up just to see how fast He was going. Twenty seven MPH over the speed limit! That right,102 miles per hour! If the driver of the Prevost reads this post, I want to give you two thumbs down!!!

RE: Evidently neighbor didn't pay his space rental

You can find a boot on E-Bay. I used one on our 5er when we took the truck to tour for the day.

RE: Class A Motorhome Engines

I would not take advise from that mechanic again, the Ford F-53 chassis and the V-10 is very good, many trucks with the V-10 have gone 200,000 miles without issues, 06 and newer the V-10 out performed the 8.1 GM, and the F-53 is a well built chassis.. Ford still makes motorhome chassis, GM does not, also no more 8.1 to be had anymore, Ford now rules the gas motorhome market.. Find a new mechanic.. You sound like a ford salesman! The 8.1 is still available in the year models they are looking at. The 8.1 is one tough motor, with proper maintenance, It will run 1/4 million miles. But V-10 or 8.1 who's going to put that many miles on a motor home?

RE: Hitch Advice

Just bought a B&W patroit from Tweedy's.com $399.80 very nice hitch.I think the rail kit is about $160.00. The workmanship on the hitch is second to none plus it is American made with American steel. And you never see a dented bed with a B&W. NEVER!

RE: No A/C plugged in to 15A at home

If you have a long cable and a cable with less than 14 gauge wires, then the voltage drop in the cable might prevent the compressor from not running properly. This could also hurt the motor. You could check the voltage in your trailer's outlets while the AC is running. You CAN NOT use a light weight orange extension cord!

RE: Parking regs in California

We really love having people in Utah helping us in California - NOT. Are you really that bored that you have to start a rant about something happening many hundreds of miles away? Many people use the city streets as their own personal parking lot and I am glad when the local officials enforce the ordinances. Unfortunate that some people are so lacking in consideration that the ordinances are needed in the first place. Anyone who thinks this applies only to California is extremely uninformed and naive. Time maybe to get out more. I for one hate living in California and having the ocean with free beaches 10 minutes from my house. It is awful. Even worse with the weather being bright and sunny and 71 degrees. Not sure I can survive this much longer. I apologize if I stepped on someone's toes. But this does not give you the right to come back at me the way you did. I posted to bring this situation to light as I did on other forums I belong to, thats of concern to our freedoms.(forgot California does not have freedoms) Your right, area should have been ZIP, But the best of it is IT got your attention, thanks for that. As in my area (surrounding locations) and yours, alot of people are not informed as to the happenings of the governments new proposed regulation and how it effects us all. (Enjoy your Smog and dry rain free weather you forgot to list that to.) Again you failed to research the topic! Los Angeles has less smog than Salt Lake! Also So. Ca. is desert, we don't shovel snow & camp year around!

RE: First outing

I don't know if you will have hookups or not, but we found that having a fan with us is good. There are many times it is not really hot enough to turn the air on, but a breeze would make you more comfortable. Also nice at night sometimes. Also, something to put dirty laundry in. A fan out side will keep the skeeters away, they are weak flyers.
